  1. Heavy Laser Cannons ignore armor, I think they would melt charged plating in no time. I did not test this armor though.
  2. I use Heavy Laser Canons with great success on my FT-8. Pro : * long range (currently 6900m) * 18% shield percing (last upgrade) * very high accuracy as long as your target is in front of you Con : * bad accuracy if the target is not directly ahead, ie bad a short range * the short range dps in low vs burst / rapid / light laser canon
  3. From the previous answers: * a distinct sound for gunship (ie not the missile lock sound) * a way to know who is trying to lock on missile (e.g. R) * a sound alert for low power blaster Anyway I love this game but I think these couples of feature would be perfect (and not that hard to code I guess)
  4. Yes please, buff my poor FT-6. Gunship and scout are so much better, I'm a Sad Panda Evasion is probably efficient but I find myself hitting a lot (maybe it's only due to the hit chance of the heavy blaster + 6% but not sure)
  5. Well, "don't play GSF anymore". But, if one wants to enjoy GSF and dog fights, this thread is full of good advice. Note: Cluster missile + lowered lock time is very easy to get in a couple of games.
  6. Maybe it's due to lag but since the yellow reply I failed all my missile evade with the retro truster :s
  7. Retro truster does not seem to evade a locked missile (but it actually stops the lock). Also against scouts, the lock is often stopped by lag. I would enjoy a change that still avoids cheat but doesn't impede legit gameplay at short range (e.g. cluster missile vs scout)
  8. On my Star Guard, I use the maxed Heavy Laser Canon with 18% shield percing and the maxed Cluster missiles (max dmg). I plan to test the ion canon both currently my second primary weapon is a quad laser.
  9. At 15km, I have no issue to hit any target that is not LOSing me. The rabbit is efficient but there is no such thing as "configured for survivability." A good rail gun will ignore armor and have 30% to 66% shield piercing. Conclusion: the toughest Rabbit is a Quell with Reinforced armor and 1740 hull HP. The rabbit will soon be dead :s My tips: * keep a high engine pool * wait for the enemies to be on the radar, check the Gunship and look for their facing in your selection zoom. * make sure they are not facing you as you get close and shot them down
  10. The main issue is the way Dailes and Weeklies work. IMO the easy fix would to give Fleet Reqs instead. Anyway, sooner or later some players will use min/maxed ships again brand new ones.
  11. I love it. I would like to see a change in the way objective are controled, more than two maps and other game types.
  12. In a recent Civil War: At the very start of the game my team rushed both grass and snow leaving the center to most of the ennemy group. I was playing my assassin and so I chose to hassle them with mez and interrupt. For un unkwnown reason the pubs tagged one by one while the others looked for me. With Force cloak and Phase walk, they did not tagged the center after 2 minutes. By that time reinforcement arrived and we took the center.
  13. Wait a sec. A Marauder can clearly deal with a sniper. One need to know when the defensive CDs should be used. (and I mean all the defensive CDs including Obfuscate and Cloak of Pain which are hardly ever used by the many badies playing that class)
  14. Last time I checked, the sniper had 3 spec trees. Eng and Leth are not that easily fooled by LOS. Even a good MM will not lose its time trying to cast against a target actively LOSing him. I bet that the OP didn't played the pre-2.0 MM sniper.
  15. By reading the title, I was thinking about madness assassins. But there is no such thing in PvP.
