...of your characters, which would you keep, and why?

QFT! LOL Yeah I ran a FP on my lvl 29 shadow last night, tanking. I put guard on the higher level dpser It almost seemed that my 'cautions' were annoying to the group, slowing them down. I got so used to everything I've done recently were on high level characters in that other game, doing heroics and raids, where caution was required. So yeah, leveling a new toon in a new game, I guess I need to relax more and just go with the flow, and pick something to level all the way. Now, what to level.......lol

Yeah, all my MMO exp was with WoW, and more often than not, if you post a subject on their forums, you'll end up trolled, so yeah, no offense to you in my previous comment. At any rate, this game seems very different to me, likely due to me having so many add-ons before, which were excellent tools, to having none now. Hell I can't even tell that if I am playing a dps character if I'm doing anything worth-while or not. As far as hate reduction, yes I understand that concept perfectly. My highest level toons is only 22, a commando, and yes I have the 'steady hands' talent, but it seems to not help more often tnat not, but I guess I can blame that on the tank lol

7 years was obviously not in this game, and not fully understanding the concept of the gaurd skill is an obvious factor. ....unless you're a troll, then well done

....'social' events, i.e. flashpoints? I've been back a month, and cannot get a character past level 20, because when I get into a random fp, I've found nothing but tanks who don't know how to put their guard on me if I'm a healer, so I take all sorts of damage from healing aggro, because I'm having to spam heal the ignorant random marauder/sentinel that wants to jump into a pack before the tank and cause havoc. I want to roll a tank to fix the stupid tanks, I want to roll a dps to fix the stupid dps, and I want to roll a healer because that's where my 7+ years of MMO experience has been, and it's what I enjoy, but it's been nothing but frustrating. Am I just having a string of bad luck with randoms? Does it get better?

Ok, short and sweet....I played SWTOR for 1 month at launch, went back to WoW, and after a year I've returned. 90% of my MMO experience has been with WoW, I've tanked, healed, and been dps. I can handle any of the roles, in that game at least. My question is, what is the smarter role to adopt for a first full playthrough character; tank, healer, or dps? Is the learning curve for flashpoints bad?
