  1. Sounds like someone's a little butthurt and doesn't know how to deal with gunships. We really don't need another, "GUNSHIPS OP Z****ROFLCOPTR!!!!!111!" thread. Our posts obviously go mostly ignored. Quit whining and go smoke them yourself.
  2. I don't think this says anything about the design of the ship at all. This just says that you prefer dogfighting over group tactics. Adding more playstyles brings more players in and makes the game much more involved.
  3. Stopping actually turns you slower. Faster turns happen when you are still moving, but going slower (control throttle with up/down or w/s) and turning up/down turns faster over left/right (IIRC it's pitch over yaw). Get used to rolling, too. You can eventually learn to dodge that pesky scout on your tail by rolling and squeezing between the solar panels on the satellites.
  4. They're actually very easy to shut down if you learn to stop flying slow in a straight line at them.
  5. What sucks about this achievement is that if you start GSF on one toon, no matter the level, you CAN'T get the achievement on your actual GSF pilot. You would have, after GSF dropped, logged into all your other classes with all companions unlocked, then login to your GSF pilot (who also already has all companions unlocked) LAST. I submitted a ticket and was told that achievements are tied to characters, not your legacy. I thought the entire point of legacy was to share achievements across all characters. This achievement is stupid to give fleet req if you can't get it on your actual GSF pilot.
  6. As has been said before, it's OBJECTIVE based, NOT kills based. Destroying turrets, capping nodes, defending in proximity are all objectives, not killing folks. I just played a match where I had 2 kills, 3 assists, 20k damage. I also capped 5 nodes, destroyed 4 turrets, defended for 2 minutes. All in all, 13 medals and 1700 req. Gunships are easy to get req with, you just have to know how the system works to maximize it.
  7. They have said that there will be NO new basic classes. They have stated that if new classes will be put in, they will only be advanced classes. Let's focus on stuff that's more realistic.
  8. I just upgraded to the Orbweaver from the Nostromo after wearing out 2 Nostromos across 4 MMO's and 4 years of hardcore play. Quick tip: DON'T USE THE THUMBSTICK/D-PAD FOR MOVEMENT! You will cause hand fatigue so incredily fast that way. Use the thumb pad for your modifiers (Shift, CTRL, Alt) and for alternate key map for your menu buttons. Use the main keypad just like WASD. Now, I love the mechanical keys on the Orbweaver, and I don't miss the wheel on the Nostromo at all (I used it for ordering companions to attack and passive). The extra keys on the Orbweaver are AWESOME. I found after using the Nostromo for years, I needed felt like I needed more key options. Helps to have an alternate key map for space missions, too. Don't bother with macros, not worth the hassle (I've tried in other games). So far, Orbweaver > Nostromo
  9. How exactly is the Ilum powerlevelling bad? If f2p newbies do this, they will likely be more apt to want to do endgame PVP and Ops, buying the weekly passes for them. Hell, this may even encourage them to buy Makeb when it comes out since they'll have a 50, which was the entire reason for the BXPW, isn't it? Who cares if more older players that already have 50's grind another toon to 50. This could even encourage people to cross servers easier, which is better for community. If you didn't do it, how exactly does it affect you? Why should this even have been an issue and why should BW have even bothered with "fixing" something that isn't even an exploit when there are other, more pressing issues to be dealt with?
  10. For this! The more customization options you allow players, the happier they will be.
  11. Allow crafters to create customization kits (similar to the augmentation kits) that apply to gear that is able to be RE'd by that profession. Arms = blasters/snipers/cannons/etc, Armor = Aim/Cun gear, Synth = Str/Wil gear, Artifice = sabers/relics. These customization kits turn any piece of gear into an empty orange shell. Instead of continually coming out with new art, just use that art that's already in the game and lets people have greater customization over their looks. This would also go hand-in-hand with further reducing the costs for removing mods.
  12. Make lockout timers only apply to loot. If you're on lockout for that boss, you don't have the ability to obtain loot from that boss, but are still able to participate in that fight. This will help those who are on lockouts participate in pugs to finish a particular operation when they may not normally be able to otherwise. Also helps new raid groups perfect their boss strategies and experiment with new ones.
  13. Creating a new tier within the crafting system would solve this. It would allow for craftable BoE orange gear that can be sold/traded freely. This would still keep the value of the other crafting professions intact.
  14. The problem with this is that if you were to apply, say, an Enhancement Kit, this kit would also have to compute an appropriate amount to subtract from the base stats based on what grade enhancements the level of the item would equate to.
