  1. Argh, I knew they would add Treek when I wasn't home ha ha.
  2. It all depends on your definition of 'fun'. If you like exploring then yes I would say Makeb is extremely fun. Even at level 55 in 8 pieces of 78 gear I still have a blast doing the Makeb Weekly whenever I can. They did a great job on Makeb. It's quite a nice change of pace from the dreary surroundings of Oricon that's for sure. Some will argue that it's too spread out to be a viable 'daily' planet though... but as I said, if you like exploring then have at 'er. Lot's of Achievements if you like that kind of thing too.
  3. I know that we still do TfB on HM in my guild. SnV we only do in SM for the weekly usually. They're good practice even if you don't really need any of the gear from them.
  4. The Prison Module is great if you bring a healer. When I've done this we've typically punted one of the first NPC's at the top off. When they hit the bottom it agro's everything in the room causing them to run to the top. AOE dps and heals makes this part go very fast.
  5. I queue for them as a healer. I don't care how good certain DPS players think they are... they still need heals in certain areas of instances. Even in Tactical/SM instances. Personally I'll just run the Czerka SM's solo with Corso to get the CZ Weekly done but in the rare occurrence that I do run Tacticals with a group... I'll queue as Heals and I will heal just as if it's a regular FP. The only difference being, since they're typically a lot easier then regular FPs, is that I'll dish out more DPS then usual. I think the main problem is (and I've seen this before even in my own guild) some healers think just because they queue as a healer they don't need to do anything else. Everyone doesn't need to be at 100% health for 100% of the time. I'm happy if those I'm healing are around 80-90% at any given time. Unless I know a fight is spike damage heavy... then I'll keep a closer eye. Otherwise there is no reason why I should not be contributing to other aspects of a fight if there is no healing needed at any given time. CC, Cleansing, DPS, there are other ways to spend your time then over-healing allies.
  6. Good post. I strongly agree with all of your points. I did a HM FP the other night. The group was looking for a new healer for one of the Czerka FP's (not even a 'hard' one for a HM lol) because the other one they had dropped. I offered to help even though I don't need anything from HM FP's. I'm in about 8 pieces of 78 gear and the rest 72's. I do mostly Operations in my gaming time and I would say I am a pretty good healer. Anyway... I join this group and right away start seeing issues. Right when I joined they were chatting about how horrible the healer was so I said "What was the problem with your last healer?" Right away the tank chimed up to say "Oh they said I can't tank!" So we start heading towards the Desert Sandstorm boss (can't remember the name) and this is when I see the issues unfold. I literally had to unload everything I had to keep this tank up. Jedi Shadow if that matters. Usually in guild runs I can toss a few heals on the group and then contribute my lackluster Scoundrel DPS to help. This time though... not a chance. We actually wiped twice on the boss before getting by. We even wiped during the last mob pull before the final boss lol. From what I was able to deduce the tank was just taking insane amounts of damage. They were in all 66 level gear so it shouldn't have really been that big of an issue but it was. It's only a game though. I said thank you at the end and didn't slam the tank for anything. My point being don't be quick to blame yourself. As others have said you should look at each fight and see what exactly is going on. What's causing damage to everyone? Maybe run a program like Parsec and see if you're healing enough of the damage coming in. See how much damage people are taking in each fight and then you'll know where you need to step up your own game at times. It's usually not one single thing that causes a problem but a whole variety. Practice makes perfect though so keep it up!
  7. It's all part of the RNG system. It's been this way for years and years in many MMO's. Sometimes you're lucky... sometimes you're not so lucky. It's all luck based... you could, in theory, run it one thousand times and not get a single drop. That's the way it is. Try running it with guildmates and create a system where no matter what the loot is alternated each run amongst all of you. Try solo'ing it. It's a fairly easy Tactical FP that you should be able to solo at least portions on any character. I say portions because there isn't really a need to do the whole thing if you're just farming the KDY Construction Kits. The mobs are there prior to the end of the instance. Just a thought! They never intended anyone to rush through content (yes acquiring loot like this is considered content ) so quickly. I am sure you have reasons why you need (or think you need) to acquire the speeder right away... but it's just a game after all. Take your time and enjoy it. Trust me... you'll appreciate it more if you finally get it without really realizing it then if you're painstakingly farming for it day in and day out.
  8. While I personally don't care about how they designed it... I do find it kind of strange the amount of mobs that they make spawn on the travel paths.
  9. I'm happy with smaller updates more frequently. Even a new Op, FP, and Daily zone every now and then would keep me happier than having to wait twice as long for a little more.
  10. I would support a GLFG. The GLFF in LOTRO makes it a lot easier to find a group while out questing or exploring.
  11. I was just about to reply with a snarky remark when I read the bottom where you said this was sarcasm. Ha ha.
  12. Big no on this one. Leave Ops alone! Ha ha. I know you were kidding but I don't want anyone to get ideas lol
  13. I disagree. I never have Kuat checked and I get into FP's almost instantly. As a healer that is. I cannot speak for DPS or Tanks. As for the healing comment... these are tactical FP's we're talking about. No healing needed. They place 'nodes' around the boss fights which you can activate that provide more then enough healing. I can do Czerka or Kuat FP's all day long as a healer and not really need to heal at all.
