  1. On my server if I play on Imperial side at least 60-70% of matches are against other Imperials. Now you could say that it is due to there being more Imps than Reps, however.....when I play on my Rep characters its the same thing. Most matches are against my own people regardless of which side I am playing! Seems to me that the match making feature is buggered. Maybe its just me but I prefer to fight the other side than my own people.
  2. Please name one other DPS that would not do the same with guard and heals? That is not a AP only feat. Additionally, guard and heals do not make your damage greater, just your survivability. So in essence you are backing up his argument that AP are glass cannons as they need said Guard and Heals to negate that weakness. I happen to main AP as well, and without heals or guard, I can do a lot of damage yes, but I die very easily. I find the trade off fair. I also do more damage on my sniper than my AP and I have more survivability. This is of course solo queued, in group make ups things can change, not damage though, just survivability. I do find it amusing that people who call others 'child' or 'kid' on forums are so often the ones that make mistakes in what they say and show, dare I say it, their age .
  3. It could be that I missed a patch note somewhere though I have looked and cannot see it (if it is there somewhere please could you link it), but they have reduced the range benefit that this ability gave. It used to be 5m range with 2m radius increase, but that is now 2m with 1m radius. With this change it doesn't seem nearly as useful a skill to take.
  4. See what a change in attitude can bring...a far more civil response. And yes you did not implicitly state that there was no fighting nor that people should not have a choice...but you sure did imply it. Your posts "attitude" was not just picked up by me but also the poster right after yours. I do not have any "distaste" for combat in pvp, I just prefer my fighting to have a point rather than just killing. Anyhow, I will agree to disagree. Possibly the population might not be able to support people having choice, but then in my case, and my friends, it is more likely to stop us signing up at all. So I cannot see how driving people away helps fellow players?
  5. I am obviously of a different mindset than you. I do not understand the need to force people to do something they do not like in the off chance that they might get to do something they do like. To say that there is no fighting in scenario's compared to arena's is also false. I have longer, more meaningful fights in scenario's while fighting for an objective than just running in and mindlessly killing opponent's . While I accept that both are forms of pvp, something you do not seem to agree with, to say they are not does nothing to justify your stance. Fighting is not necessarily all that pvp is about., it is about competing against others. I support that people should be able to choose to do what they enjoy, while you seem to think they should not have the choice.
  6. I have just come back to the game and I really dislike arena style match's. They have no real interest for me as I prefer strategic fights that I normally got previously in scenario's. Why though when I sign up for Warzones do I get 80% arena's and is there any way, for the love of god, to do just scenario's and not select arena's?
  7. I agree completely with both of these quotes above.
  8. I know you have probably heard this before but I feel it needs to be said. Have you tried to join a guild? Thats what they are there for, socializing and grouping to do game content. Wow made it easy to get groups with the instance finder or whatever it was called, that you signed up and it then lumped you with strangers you didnt know and could do an instance with (if you were lucky enough for people to stay for the whole thing). You know, those groups of people that you would never see or meet again. That, however, was not socializing, in SWTOR you need to be proactive, organise things yourself or as stated above join a guild. It seems to me though that you want a game that does everything for you, unfortunately no game as yet can make friends for you though...
  9. Um...even if he had normal stims and medpacks he would have beaten you it seems. The difference was he was using disposables and you were not. It had nothing to do with what type of disposable, green is the same healing amount as purple ones and blue are now better. I would recommend you go buy some of them for your next fight and use them much like he did.
