  1. What they actually said was "we plan to make a new star wars movie every 2-3 years". Not, 2-3 movies every 1 year. You got it round the wrong way.
  2. Yes, you do. In the middle of the night. You may not understand the difference, you may only play between the hours of 2am and 8am, and may think everyone in the EU is so lucky to be able to only play then. Can you imagine if BW were kind enough to allow us (the majority of customers) to play the game in daylight hours or after work in the evenings! That would be like.. well, like every other MMO that understands that customers like to be able to PLAY the game they paid for. So, here we have yet another wasted evening waiting for the servers. We're going to start expecting compensation soon BW.
  3. You might be able to. Patching all day yesterday and all evening tonight? Yeah, that's fun. I cant wait. Maybe tomorrow they will just turn it off for the weekend. Lucky us.
  4. It's currently believed the universe is infinite. By definition, in an infinity universe, all possibilities exist. Therefore, it is entirely plausable and possible that the SW universe exists. In fact, this principle actuallys says, YES, this universe DOES exist.
  5. The force told them to wait. If Ben had run, hidden and been living in Tatooine all this time, and had Owen not known Ben lived on Tatooine all this time, then Luke would never have met him, and Ben would never have given him his fathers saber, and Luke would never have been able to go on and.... Had Yoda not run away, and spent all his years hiding in a horrible filthy swamp, far below his pay grade, for 18 years, then he would not have been alive to train Luke after Ben had died. Yoda managed to stay alive only just long enough to train him too. This was all foreseen, and they had to be ready. They were not cowards - they each lived for 18 years knowing every day that their friends had died, that the galaxy was living in servitude, and that they could not stop it - except to live this worthless life in squalor, in the hope that the force visions they had would one day come true and they would do their small parts.
  6. Right click the chat tab, click Chat Settings, deselect General. Done.
  7. I'm in agreement. As with most other MMO's (including Everquest 2 which has the same server setup as SWTOR, whereas they have EU and NA servers in the same physical location) - Bioware should be taking offline the NA servers during the NA night, and the EU servers during the EU night. NOT taking all servers offline during what is the NA off-peak time, somehow expecting the EU players (of which there is a very large number) to just go "Ok, 8 hours during the middle of what is a holiday period for most, no problem". Take the EU servers offline during midnight and 8am EU time, and the same for the NA servers. Dont take the EU servers offline for 8hours during the daytime, especially during a holiday period.
  8. Read "I, Jedi" for a wonderful introduction into the world of the Jedi and lightsaber building.
  9. One thing I learned whilst using multiple monitors was... always play in windowed mode.
  10. I believe you are incorrect. And in a months time, you will not even remember this week, just like every other MMO launch.
  11. I just downloaded it. Im in the EU. Doesnt work, still just asks for a number and you cant do anything else.
  12. Nay - MMO's should be (imho) the great leveller (excuse the pun) where everyone, no matter what their background, can take part on a fair and level playing ground together, in a world of our making. They should NOT be "The one with the most spare cash in real life can be the best in the game, have the best gear, have the cutest pets, have the nicest looking mount, have the biggest reddist lightsaber". I dont care if your rich, or if your poor, if you want something in the game, you need to go out and earn it. Dont have time? Then earn it slowly. Dont want to wait? Go play COD or Battlefield instead. On top of that, we pay £40 for the game. We pay £120 a year to play it. We pay £35 for each expansion. We should not have to pay for anything else to play.
