    Costumes

Costume is a type of item or buff that temporarily changes the appearance of a character and a fun way to break up the normal routine or add some flare to your look when you play a character. The original idea comes from Star Wars Galaxies where players have been able to change their race to become a Gamorrean guard for example. This was just temporary and repeatable but allowed role-players a totally new appearance and experience. The costume buff has been removed when entered combat and in SWTOR it can also be removed when entering a story quest or any quest with cinematic in general. The costume also contains a fixed set of cloths, so it you wear a costume, the cloths will be tied to the costume, not matter what you wear beneath, it will always be the same outfit to reduce the development efforts. Restrictions: •Costumes are applied as "buffs". To take off a costume before the timer runs out, simply right click on the buff icon just as you would to remove any other buff. •Costumes cannot be used in combat; if you enter combat with a costume on it will automatically remove itself and generate a system message to let you know why. •You cannot use a vehicle or a mount while costumed. •You cannot use any emotes, moods, actions, social skills with costumes.
  2. Not deletinon... deactivation, big difference. And I wanted to point out that there should have been a warning that it costs XYZ Credits to reactivate it. It says "Do you want to deactivate the ship" not "Do you want to deactivate because it costs 50 mil to undo this action". That's all I am saying and with one person here in this thread, saying that he was about to do the same and now he knows the consequences, I think I did right with posting it here. I am not saying as many others "BW is bad, I quit" etc. so I pointed out an issue, not ranting about it or start whining because it seems I have to pay 50 mil again.
  3. Most of them are inactive, I asked the only remaining guy but he didn't answer yet. Guess he hates me now...
  4. I already said the CS was very helpful and friendly, so nothing to complain about that. What I did not understand is the lack of traceability on this high value items. It is still the most expensive item ingame and there is no logfile to trace it. That's my complain. If I don't get help from CS, I am okay with it, I just wanted to suggest that they should install some logfiles on this expensive items. I destroyed an armorpiece by accident or mistake months ago and it was recovered with a ticket so they had some logs to find this "crap" items, why not something like that on an item which is worth 50.000.000. So no complain, just an idea to improve something.
  5. No I want them to think if there is a gap which needs to be closed in future to track the high value items.
  6. They can but the point is, they need some additional information which I can't provide right now. So my complain is not about the support or my own stupidity, it is about not having any traces or evidence in the system which shows that I was the owner. I think that should be in place when we talk about the most expensive item in the game.
  7. But even that does not exist because I became guild leader 6++ months ago. Yeah moral support would be fine
  8. Sorry in my native language it is "mio" instead of "mil"
  9. I agree but is there anything they can do to improve their internal processes? Yes absolutely. Are they going to do it? We will see it next time when something like that happens...
  10. And that's our fault if THEY are not able to get the right data from their system to see what happened?
  11. That's the point. They should have ways to confirm it. Just because they don't have it, shouldn't mean that the customers are screwed. I think this is getting more complicated when you buy virtual items directly for money and then they disappear. that's different to the monthly costs of subscription but that depends on the local law. There is no general statement and it really depends where the people are located.
  12. The most annoying thing here is that they are not able to see that in their logfiles. We pay real money for virtual items and they are not able to see any errors, bugs or loss of these items in their logfiles? Then they should quickly work on their system to report this kind of errors internally and have logfiles in place to monitor this.
  13. I deactivated my republic guild ship to clear it from all decorations. I was not aware of reactivation costs of 50.000.000 credits which means I have to pay 100.000.000 in total to get the ship back. There was no warning, no message that the costs of reactivation are as high as the initial purchasing costs. I contacted the support and asked for help and they tried to but one thing they needed was the name of the buyer who bought the ship the first time. I don't know who was the guild leader at that time, so I am screwed. What I really don't understand and makes me mad is the fact that there are no logfiles, no history or anything on the SWTOR servers which makes a support assistance able to see that I was the owner of the ship. A guild ship is the most expensive item you can buy in SWTOR from a vendor. There is nothing which costs more then this item and you are seriously telling me that you don't have any logfiles which show that I was the owner and deactivated it a few minutes before I created the support ticket? I made a mistake and deactivated the ship, that was my fault but I still can't understand why you are not able to see and check that I had a ship and I deactivated it. You are telling me seriously that you have no way at all to see what I did by mistake? No logfiles for an item which costs 50.000.000 credits and needs months to farm for a small guild like mine? The most expensive item which is in this game available and no way of checking the history of it???? Seriously? I clearly admit that it was my mistake to deactivate it but first a warning message about the reactivation costs would have been fine and second, no logfiles at all. Nothing... 50.000.000 and no evidence?
  14. Yes that's the point thank you. As you can see, this has huge consequences because the credits spread all over and the items get more expensive because of this overflow of credits. So basically, instead of just taking the server down and remove the Jedi chars from the vendor (to implement them later in a fixed status) they just let it go and make it even worse for everyone. I saw tons of Level 6 - 10 characters today running from the Jedi char vendor to the market and back. They all have around 200 - 800 achievement points but got the achievement for making 10 Mio credits. Starting with 100.000 credits, 1 hour later 1 Mio credit and 6 hours later 10 mio credits. (You can see time & date when the character achieved it) so people are already doing this and benefit from it. And who's is the biggest looser? All the people who decided to not exploit and not benefit from this bug because they will not strip the money from the trader, they will not ban people who sold something on the market and got some "illegal" money. Sure they will punish the exploiter but this will not fix the damage done to the ingame economy and for sure not solve the problem, caused by the delay to fix it.
