  1. Find below - my suggestion for an RTS System for POST Class Quest completion.
  2. It used to be a money maker. I was able to sell Quick Savant Enhancements 22 (advanced) for around 30-40k each. Enhancements might still be a profitable business, targetting those who are between levels 47-49 - not yet able to purchase lvl 50 gear etc. However, with 1.1.5 it has been screwed to high heaven. They do promise to add more recipies, more crystals etc, and remove the cystal vendor in 1.2 - so all in all, I am sticking with my 400 Artifice. I remain hopful that it will become profitable to use Artifice post 1.2 Plus - If you have got the magenta recipie - your services will be in demand by the other players who have not yet bought it, after it is no longer available for general sale. That being said - Everyone will have the recipie learnt by now - so you will be competing with more people, being capable of crafting it.
  3. Advanced Savant Enhancement 22 from Artifice (400) seems to sell pretty well. I managed to sell 2x of them for 40-45k last week. It all depends on Demand, Cost of resources and time you have available to make them.
  4. I cant say I really pay much attention to Rage Quitters, im sure they are there in the warzones with me, but im too busy killing or being killed to pay attention. All I know, is that they leave, someone comes and fills their spot. Impact = Minimal They probably have a good reason too. However.... I cannot say in honesty, that I havent done it myself. You need to understand, that once you get to level 50, there is alot of emphasis on completing dailies, and weeklys (this is pushed on us, by Bioware). We are under pressure to successfully complete 3 warzones a day, or 9 per week etc. When some people join a Warzone, there are maybe 3 things they are after. 1. Exp - Its a good safe way to level up, Experience and Credits, even if you win or lose. This encourages people to stay to the end 2. Valor - This also encourages people to stay to the end, however, they do get more Valor, if they win? 3. The actual victory - to complete the warzone as the winner, and get daily commendations. This one, encourages people to leave - if they decide their team mates are idiots. When you join a Warzone, your chances of winning lye entirely on your team as a whole. If your team is a bunch of noobs, who have no idea how to guard a door, guard a turret, or pass the ball, then your gonna lose. Bad for you, good for the other team. If your just after daily commendations, then why would you stay an additional 9 minutes in the warzone, only to lose, and then re-join another warzone. Time = Money, and I dont wana waste my money, on a Crappy Crap team. In all honesty - the best way to 'ditch' bad players, in Warzones, is to Leave, wait 2 minutes, and rejoin the queue. If you complete the warzone, you stand a good chance of being paired with the same crappy team, because they too will be rejoining at the same time. Best to Leave the warzone early, wait for your old place to be taken up, and then rejoin the queue, and hope for a better team. In addition - if you were to get what you want. not be paired with people you ignore. That wouldnt be feasible. There are only so many Warzone servers/instances, and if you ignore say 50+ people, how are those people going to get into warzones, if one of those instances is being held up by your presence?
  5. I would use Voice Chat if it were available. its annoying -having to stop running, just to type a reply. Imagine the huttball and pvp impacts of having vocal coordination.
  6. I kinda find it annoying that there is no defense against stealthers in pvp games such as Huttball. Last night, we had an opposing team, using the tactic of 1. Get the ball 2. Run into the pit infront of our goals 3. Wait 4. Their stealthed team mate decloaks infront of our line 5. They receive the ball 6. They score 7. They re-cloak Repeat Sure - any team can do this - but it isnt very sporting, and feels almost like a cheap/cheat win. Stealth should be nerfed in huttball
  7. Does anyone else not wish they could recreate the Battle between the Emperor and Yoda? I'd love to see bosses using Telekinesis to fling platforms at me, and part of the boss battle entails dodging these incoming projectiles. I think it would be a really cool battleground/ or Flashpoint idea. I know the Emperor (Palpatine) doesnt exist in this time period, but it would be good to see a recreation of such an epic battle. (MUSIC TOO) As far as Epic Abilities go - I'd like to see a Counter Casting sort of ability. eg- One caster, can attempt to counter another. Mostly seen in D&D Games- called Counter-Spells or Countercast mode, it would allow one caster, to forgo action, to attempt to block the casting ability of another caster. The trade off being that the player wont be able to trigger any other abilities while he is countering another players actions - and must remain motionless. I envision this as the same sort of thing that Yoda does against Sidious - where he is catching the lightning, and absorbing it/redirecting it. Obviously, each caster would have their own stats used against eachother. eg - Willpower vs Willpower etc Caster 1 is being Countered by Caster 2 Caster 1 is shooting force lightning, Caster 2 is catching it, and absorbing it - maybe regenerate Force power at same time? Caster 1's Willpower is a little higher than Caster 2. Each tick of damage, performs a Dice Roll to determine success or failure of the absorb/counter. Caster 1 being the one with the higher Willpower however, eventually breaks through the counter. How about a Force Lightning VS Force Lightning Instead of the lightning steams just passing through eachother - which physically, and Scientifically would be impossible - (Electrons cant travel in opposing directions.) - they impact in air --> Explosions? I would love to see an MMO get away from this idea of 1. Click button 2. Attack launched, 3. Attack will travel through air, bend around walls, go through walls, and hit target 4. Target absorbs or dodges based on stats. I'd like to see a more epic defense. Eg - Attacks canceling eachother out (Starkiller vs Emperor - Lightning) Redirection of attacks (Like the Jedi guy did in the 'Return' video - he redirected the force lightning at Malgus) Alot of people see Sorcerers and Sages as over powered already - and I agree, they do get lots of damage potential powers. But I would like to see their game play style turned into more intuitive, and strategic than the current state which is Mash buttons, Lightning Attack! Lightning Attack! Lightning Attack! Lightning Attack! DOT DOT DOT Lightning Attack! Lightning Attack! Lightning Attack! Lightning Attack Shield!!
  8. I have no idea what his race is - but Im guessing by the fact that he was the only one of his kind seen in the Saga, that he must be an endangered species or something. But that not to say that they would have been, during the time of the Old Republic. Is there any chance of getting Yoda's species as a playable race? I know some logical, playability issues may arrise, such as 1. Angle - Players POV being set to knee height might be nasty. 2. 3 Fingered 3D Models - cant re-use typical templates you already have. 3. New Clothing options required. Im thinking that as far as the species goes - we could have customization options of skin being shades of blue/turquiose, and green etc, maybe yellow and orange/redish. Imagine a bunch of green yoda-like frogs running around Republic Controlled land etc It would be fun to watch. Yoda is often seen as the poster boy for the 'Light Side' of the force. We often associate Human or maybe 'Sith Pure blood' with the Dark Side Since we have Sith Pure blood, it makes sense that we should have a Yoda Race.
  9. Its more probable that they were using the time between xmas and march... to you know.... finish the Legacy system. If it was released in XMas, when not finished, I bet you would be moaning even more. Anyone who works in the IT Industry would know, that work on a project never ceases up until the release date. They dont develop it, wait sitting on their hands for 3 months, and then release it. They have a release cycle, and they work continuously to get the project/deliverable perfected until the release date - if there are show stoppers, they make a 'Go/No Go' decision. Legacy system is not a simple system to impliment, you are talking lots of development, lots of test scenarios to perform to ensure that it works. 1000's of man hours. Even scenarios you might not have thought off. Eg - Have 5 characters on server, in my legacy, one transfers to another server - what happens to his legacy affiliation. All of these scenarios need to be tested and signed off on.
  10. Many MMO's create story arc's that dont just affect the player, but affect the world at large. Whether this be NPC's doing chit-chat about your latest exploits, or faction wide benefits based on warzone events etc. Is there any plans or desire to make the players story based adventure, more visible to the world at large, or perhaps new warzone/pvp where faction control of the field affects the whole faction, in and out of the warzone. (Drawing much upon Aion as an example here- Controlling the Abyss pvp zone, grants your race bonuses)
  11. I read some of the lore regarding Lightsaber crystals. Apparently - in the Star wars universe, the Jedi or Sith needs to concentrate and meditate for a long time to create and focus the force into the Saber Crystal. Apparently, Jedi being pure and all, get normally colored sabers of many varieties, however, Sith, using the darkside, get an Unstable Crystal as result of using the darkside in the construction of the crystal. Apparently, the Sabers constructed from darkside crystals, have a chance to disrupt the energy of a Light Side saber, effectively breaking the Jedi Saber. The use of the Darkside in the saber construction/crystal creation, is also attributed to its crackling sound, that seems to be louder than normal jedi sabers - which typically hum.
  12. Its true, I may be sort of blurring the lines between people who intentionally attempt to benefit from hacks or speedhacking etc, and people who stumble across a treasure box that respawns every 4 seconds. People who accidentally find something in game, that gives them an edge or benefit, that may not be intentional - I would probably exploit that too, and then I would report it. Being honest here, if I found a treasure box that granted me 1000 xp per click, and it didnt vanish after use, I would gain a few levels by using it. I would report it to Bioware, and they would likely allow me and anyone else who used it in the interrim to get away with it, until they fix or disable it. Most developers are nice like that, they acknowledge their programming error, and then thank the players for reporting it, and turn a blind eye to the possible mis-use it could have posed before that time. People who use external applications to alter gameplay experience to gain a benefit. I would say smack these people down with not just an Iron Hammer- Use a flippen Wrecking ball. They grab the huttball, turn on speedhack to a barely noticable level such as 10% speed increase, which on its own, isnt much, but that becomes alot more with things such as Sprint, and Force Speed turned on. They end up being able to solo to the finish line, moving faster than the persuing team. This is obviously a serious matter, as it wrecks economys, because they win more, they get more medals, get more valor, get more credits, get more xp, and the opposing team gets less of all of the above. One team win's due to a speedhacker, means another team HAS to lose. Do you want your team to be the losing team because another player on the enemy team is speedhacking? I say do a 0 tolerance approach to Speedhackers, or at the very least. Temp Ban, and then let them crawl to Bioware asking for reinstatement. 2-3 infractions, and then they should be booted out permanently.
  13. I agree with you on the points about the Speeder Changes. Why make legacy characters able to use them at an earlier level and not normals? I mean, we are running around killing monsters from level 1 on wards. Does our character really need a certain level before they can get a license to drive a speeder Maybe a quick way of fixing this, would be to make the Speeder Speed bonus, scale with level. Level 25 Speeders grant 90% speed bonus. Make them available from level 1, and you get a % of 90% that increases per level up to 25, when they would provide the full 90% speed, and then everything from there is identical to the current system. eg - 3.6% Speed Increase per level from level 1 - 25 (This grants the default 90% at level 25, as well as maintaining balance of pvp in Contested Zones) eg - level 10's wont be able to speed away from level 25's Where as a Level 25 could Speed away from a level 10 due to the speed % difference.
  14. What will they do? They will feel triumph that they are back again to exploit again, in other ways if not the same way. If a Speedhacker is able to win 25 Huttball games a day, farming alot of credits, and then transfer said credits to a main character, the OP's suggestion for this is 3 Day ban, and delete the Speedhacking Character, with no pennalties to the other characters owned by said Speed Hacker. Most Communities, and Social Networking websites have rules for Flaming and other anti-social behavior. 3 Strikes and your out is often one of them - depending on the severity. But they usually all end with some sort of finality, where the offender is forced out of the community. Thankfully, we dont care if we see the Exploiters leaving. They werent welcome in the first place.
  15. Am I the only one who feels little let down by the 'so far confirmed' perks granted by the Legacy System. When I heard there was going to be a Legacy system, along the lines of 'Your Family Legacy' and heard it likened to the Skywalker Lineage, I thought... Oh Cool... So it means things like Small Passive Buffs such as Force Damage increase, Force Recovery etc Kinda like how Anakin was Uber Strong in the force, and so all of his legacy/lineage were also strong in the force. So far, I havent heard any mention of passives, or combat bonuses, or anything that directly affects stats of characters. I know it was said 'Granted access to powers and abilities that they would not normally have' But this all seems to have been overshadowed by people wanting things like Species Restrictions lifted, Speeder Changes etc Does anyone else not have any preferred abilities that they would like seen introduced via Legacy? eg - Legacy Bonus - Vergence in the Force Jedi Sage/Sith Sorcerer - 2% Increase on Force Damage (All Powers) Other Classes - 2% Force Resistance eg - Legacy Bonus - Impulsive/Hastful Sith Juggernaut or whatever it is- Rage Builds 2% faster. Other Classes - 1% Alacrity Bonus eg - Legacy Bonus - Immoral Gain Darkside Points x2 as fast Gain Light Side points half as fast eg - Legacy Bonus - Defiant Jedi Sage/Sith Sorcerer - CC Abilities are 3-8% Longer in Duration Other Classes - CC Abilities on character are 5% Shorter in Duration Just an example of some passive bonuses Maybe some active powers could be long recharge powers. 30 Minute recharges, that are only usable after level 10 and scale to your level in power strength. eg Power of the Force 30 Minute Recharge 1 Minute Duration 10% Bonus to Force Recharge rate + 0.5% per Character Level (35% Bonus at level 50) Force Focus 30 Minute Recharge 5 Second Activation Time 50 * (0.76 per Character Level) + 150 Damage Ranged Attack (5% Bypasses Armor)
