  1. None of the stories you shared involved 2 factor authentication which is what a security key is... So yes, it is a huge stretch to think someone is going to steal your security key AND your SWTOR login info. They would need your actual phone or your backup keys. If they have access to your phone, it is reasonable to believe they could have physical access to your physical token meaning it is no more secure than the app... I like my physical key because there's no hassle when I get a new phone. I'm going to have to transfer to the app though because my CE physical keyfob is going to die on me soon...
  2. FYI Overwhelming Offense is 5%. DoTs can proc it, so as long as you keep them up you should be able to keep the 5% dmg buff up.
  3. SWTOR will never die because there are too many fanboys... Say what you want about us PvP players, but there are still enough people interested in the PvE content plus the super RP nerds that this game will stay afloat. Although I have to say that the mass firing by EA of BioWare people was really bad for PR, mainly the firing of Rockjaw... Them firing him is enough of a reason for me to doubt where the game is heading to cancel my sub and just hold out for GW2 or the Elder Scrolls MMO. I'm really not sure if I will resub before my time runs out, but I have 3 months to decide that. Hopefully SWTOR gives me a reason to keep playing.
  4. I bought it. I PvP. Is it on my bar? Absolutely not. Money is not hard to come by. Why would you not buy it? It was useful when doing class quests while leveling assuming I remembered I had the ability on my sidebar. I basically skipped every planet except for my class quests and the ones they forced me to complete... The rest of my xp was from PvP all the way to 50. I personally think our skills are fine the way they are. We could use a bit of a buff, but not a huge one. The nerf was ridiculous because they based it off of 10-50 WZs where BM using the Rakata adrenals, WZ dmg buffs, and relics were absolutely destroying people without PvP gear. They nerfed the adrenals and that should have been fine. Sadly people who had no idea what they were talking about cried the most.
  5. Completely agree with you man. Expertise is a crutch for the people who can't play on our level. When I hit BM on my Scoundrel it's gonna be fun absolutely face rolling those BMs who run away from me now.
  6. Actually, most FPS's nowadays include progression in order to obtain better weapons/mods/etc. So your analogy is incorrect. If you said "Oh I'm sorry, you thought this was an old school FPS game like Quake. Sadly most modern FPS's have the stupid progression BS too.", you would make more sense. Gear progression is not entirely difficult in this game now that they made the changes. My new main got full PvP gear in 2 days no problem. Not all Champion gear but that will come in time. Guild Wars 2 is shaping up to be a more true to PvP MMO. It's far more skill based, and has no gear progression. Just you vs. your opponent and whomever is the better player (or gets the most crits if both are equal in ability) wins. That is real PvP. That is more like the old school shooters that let people just jump in and let everyone be on the same level from the start. What would this mean for TOR if they had this? It would mean all the cry babies who like gear based PvP and have no idea what they are doing would get wrecked by better players who just hit 50. Those who actually knew what they were doing and how to play their class and didn't need the gear in the first place probably wouldn't care because they would still face roll baddies. Anyone who says otherwise is most likely a badster in disguise.
  7. The game itself is massive. Like 35+ GB. So downloading it would eat up a lot of that cap.
  8. That is actually what he just said. Based on where you spawn is based on the map... He meant saying left based on the direction you were facing at the time and not based off of one universal left. IE you are facing the spawn at mid and see Left under attack. You call it out as Right instead of Left because you are facing the spawn and you are dumb and everyone goes to Right instead of Left. Basically, Left is always left of the spawn and Right is always right of the spawn. So if you are facing the spawn Left never changes position even though it is not on YOUR left. Likewise if you were in mid and facing Right and someone calls out Left you wouldn't call them an idiot for trying to defend the Sith spawn area. Like I mentioned before, I use Left/Right because I err on the side of caution that others in my WZ are dumb and need things dumbed down in case they aren't wearing their helmets.
  9. This was pretty much what I was getting at. You were a bit more serious about it tho. Not everyone is smart enough to look at their map and decipher what directions are what as far as NSEW goes. Left/Right is easy for the more simple minded folk to read. Since I always assume the rest of my team is most likely operating on 4 brain cells, I just use L/R directions. I find this proves more effective. The other difficult part is trying to get people to understand simple directions like, "A few of you need to stay at that point and hold it." or "We already have 3 people here, the rest of you go help hold the other point."
  10. I'm always right bub. You're doing it wrong.
  11. Except what is the north for Republic is actually the south for the Imps in CW. So East for the Imps is actually West for the Republic. Your directions are not absolute. Left is always left and right is always right. If you can't grasp that then maybe you should go back to Kindergarten... I personally like to confuse people who talk in General chat. If they call out mid or left, I yell that we need help at another point lol. Lots of fun. Left side is always the turret the far left speeder will take you to if you own that turret. Same with right.
  12. I don't see screenshots. Or proof of what you are claiming. I'm guessing you won't be missed and that's why you really unsubbed. If they were really getting a full premade in, a ss and some proof would have gotten them dealt with. If you just say so and so is doing this and don't provide them with some real details then you can expect the resolution to take forever. I always put as much as possible into tickets. The more information the better. And don't ever assume they probly know something. Always assume they don't know the minute details. Do you have any idea how many tickets they are probly getting? I wouldn't expect very many to respond directly to you. They likely read all of them and copy/paste responses in for many things. They can't honestly be expected to respond to every ticket directly and people thinking that their ticket is different and they are special cases are kidding themselves.
  13. I think this thread is more important. Thanks again for keeping it going!
  14. LOL @ clickers, and not everyone on PvP servers are that great either. I don't know how many 48s/49s I've facerolled when I was around lvl 40. Or the level 49 Marauder I keep seeing a lot that does maybe 2% dmg while I proceed to roll my face all over my keyboard and laugh. Or all the keyboard turners... I play PvP servers for the randomness that is open world PvP, even if BioWare chose not to reward me for open world kills outside Ilum :/ Would be nice if they left some creds like Rift at least...
