  1. So I'm the only one then? *looks around for a tech support forum*
  2. As per the thread title. Been offline for a few days, so had to download and patch 5.1 tonight. After patching the game crash every time I try to start. I get the launcher started, press the 'Play' button, then bust. Anyone else had this?
  3. Well, on http://www.swtor.com/server-status they show all servers as offline to me... My guildies that are still on are still playing though. It's just me, trying to get back in after a DC that's stuck on the launcher...
  4. +1 to this. Says "The login service is currently unavailable". Kinda inconvenient when you're leading a pug group...
  5. If you haven't already found a good home, I can also suggest tanking a look at Tranquility
  6. It is time to give this thread a gentle nudge to the top again. We are again looking for a few casual, mature players who would like to join us for ops runs. Since the original post we have cleared the Terror from Beyond and Scum and Villainy ops in hard mode, and made inroads into Dread Fortress (3/5 so far). We run ops runs Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays from abt. 20:30 CET, and while we are hoping for a few active players, we have no requirements to attendance. Real life comes first. Contacts are are above, except Kandar isn't active anymore...
  7. Thanks for the input. We went in again tonight and succeeded in downing Thrasher in hm for the first time. We used a tank, a healer and a slinger up top and it seemed to work perfectly. We ran around when snipers came opposite side, but called out for the dps on ground to throw in a few AoEs vbefore we could get there to kill them off. http://www.tranquility-guild.org/forum/images/uploads/thrasherb.jpg
  8. I've levelled my slinger in Engineering specs and found the aoe quite handy when dealing with thrash.
  9. Hi all. Our guilds slow (but steady) move into hard mode ops has led us to Thrasher on Darvannis. We had a few good attempts last night, but a few questions about mechanics confound us a little. We've read/seen the Dulfy guide and checked a few other places, but can't find any hard intel on the mechanics around the roar/shield removal off the snipers: We tanked her in the center, and moved towards the snipers when they popped. Is there a known range you need to get within to have the roar remove the sniper shields? Some times it looked like we let the roar go off too far away to get the shield down, but I've also read that sometimes the roar didn't remove the shield at first chance... We also had soem issues getting to the demolitionist before that. We tried ranged dps and sentinel leap, but couldn't "see" him. I think it's related to the small protuberance on the edge providing some cover. Is there a sweet spot you need to be in to target/jump to the demo?
  10. Thanks to everyone for chiming in. At least we've confirmed that it's not a bug but a case of Doing It Wrong. In our case it seems we're just not quick enough, and/or that we don't stand still for long enough. The last few runs we had this the people killed by the deletion were on top of each other, so I think we have the positioning right just need the timing We haven't had a chance to try again since this, as we've had our tries on DF hard (Draxus is tough!) and S&V (questions on Thrasher in new thread ) at our HM evenings
  11. Yeah - we've done the dry run practice before tries. We seem to be getting the right people into the center, but it appears not for long enough...
  12. We're a casual guild that enjoy the challenge of hard mode ops from time to time. Recently we've grinded to a halt on our hard mode attempts in TFB on Operator's colour deletion in the last part of the fight. For some reason we seem to lose a lot of people to the colour deletion, despite people running to shield. We often see two people lieing piled up on top of each other dead. It seems to be a bug, but I can't find anything on it - are there anything else we're missing?
  13. True, and I think you've been unlucky on your attempts. Your gear should be good enough for story, and as you show an interest to learn the fight that should be enough for most groups.
  14. Hi there Take a look at Tranquility. Sounds to me like you would fit in
