  1. Like every time I have to say, I'm from germany. So my english istn't that good, something I have to translate via Google and I have to excuse for that. I have to say that with the increasing transformation of 'Star Wars - the old Republic' into 'Star Wars - the Cartel Market', for me as a subscriber the 500 cartel coins every month now feel like a "reward" handed out with a grin and a raised middle finger. More and more items are available exclusively via the cartel market and at what feels like ever shorter intervals. This is entirely understandable and certainly correct for a free game model, but not so much for a subscription-based game model. In the past, the 500 cartel coins that you received through the subscription were enough to buy a perceived fair value of cartel market items, but this is increasingly no longer the case. And the benefits you have as a subscriber have also been reduced in order to improve the gaming experience for players without a subscription. My subscription has been running continuously for much more than 11 years. Initially I chose the monthly payment method so that I wouldn't be tied down for too long if I didn't like the game. But I liked the game so much that I never canceled the subscription. So to save money, I could have switched to a 90 or 180 day subscription long ago. But I deliberately didn't do that because I pay €2.00 more per month for 30 days than for 180 days. And since I liked the game so much, I wanted Bioware/EA and now Broadsword to get more money from me to support the game a little more. But that increasingly seems to me to be too honorable and a stupid idea. It feels as if the supposed goal is to get rid of me as a subscriber. Canceling my subscription would make mathematical sense. As a former subscriber, my limitations would be manageable, but I could buy a lot more cartel coins for the €12.99. 90 day subscription = €12.99 = 500 Cartel Coins = 39 Cartel Coins/€1 180 day subscription = €10.99 = 500 cartel coins = 46 cartel coins/€1 buy cartel coins = €17.00 = 2400 cartel coins = 141 cartel coins/€1 buy cartel coins = €87.50 = 14,500 cartel coins = 166 cartel coins/€1 When the cartell market was less important, this significant difference was still fair. But since the cartel market is getting more and more items that were earnable by playing (e.g. decorations) in the past (and even outrageously expensive dye modules can't even be unlocked throughout the legacy after purchase), this difference is becoming more and more an insult to subscribers. The difference between subscription rewards and free purchase of cartel coins is (in my opinion) now too large, considering the ever-increasing importance of the cartel market if you not only want to "play" but also "look good". Especially because as a loyal subscriber and player you now have 50 characters and therefore at least 2000 companions. The number of free cartel coins for subscribers should urgently be increased in order to represent a more realistic value and actually reward a subscriber. I think something between 1,000 and 1,500 cartel coins per month should be the subscriber reward. In any case, it is not an option for me to spend additional money to have a gaming experience that I expect with regular and loyal payment. I can imagine that other subscribers also share this feeling. The cartel coins that can be earned through galactic seasons compensate for this a little, but in my opinion not enough and also create new constraints that you actually want to escape from after work. Doing more "work" has to reward, not compensate. If the goal is to gain more subscribers, the reward must be increased with cartel coins. If you want to scare away subscribers, leave it as it is. Because that, together with the new fees in the galactic trading market, will probably work, at least for me.
  2. Note: I'm from Germany, so my english is for sure very bad. Overall, I don't like the changes! The change of the UI and some functions are ok to nice. If you want to change the old UI, do it. I don't need it (and hate the 8 slots per row in my inventory for smombies with vertical smartphone-display-eyes). But I'm ok with that, if you need it. To be fair, I've tested only a few functions until I closed the window and removed the GTN decoration from my stronghold. I dont need it anymore, because I'm done with GTN and crafting. Why? I dont understand the system with stacks, no sellers, ... And like so much else in this game, there are no tutorials to learn more (clearly and understandable, not forum posts in languages I dont understand) about it. But the most serious thing and the nail in the GTN coffin for me is the american pure capitalism system. I pay for nothing? Really? An item isn't sold, but I have to pay fees for it? What the heck??? I thougt star casino event is for risky gambling and loose credits. I dont need another system for that. 😉 Give me high taxes for what is SOLD! I'm fine with that, because I can CHOOSE to sell an item or not. But let me pay only for TRYING it? No way friends! There are to much credits in the game? I suggest you reduce the price by 90% for guild flagships another time. 😄 Edit: I think it's necessary to say that I'm loving this game and will play it until the last server is down! I dont cry anything like "I kill my sub". I mostly appreciate all of your work and stay subbed for more.
  3. I have a general problem with the current equipment system. At level 50 we had a system similar to what we have now. When that was changed you (Bioware) wrote that you wanted to make it easier for us. Now we have the same system as before because - and now laughing - you want to make it easier for us. Did you forget all what you've said before, if you start work on a new update? Seams like... I've been a non-stop subscription gamer since (I think) April 2012, so I have 50 characters, 21 of them are now level 80. What you guys tell me is "f**k you, unsub and become a casual gamer with one or two chars". So ... in order not to grind myself completely to death, I use armor sets and so on throughout the legacy, i.e. the legacy bank. Three tank classes need Story Armor, PvP Armor, Flashpoint Armor, and Operation Armor. 3 x 4 = 12 armor sets (plus accessories). Four DD classes need... Four heal classes need... What the heck?!? Just that doesn't even fit in the legacy bank if you don't use it for anything else. And sure I use it for a lot more then armor sets! Of course I could send back and forth to give each character their own armor sets by get the same level. But then I have to equip each of these armor sets with MK's (expensive) and build upgrades ad nauseam (and grind material for them). Until now for 21 Characters, next week 30, next month 40, ... That just doesn't make any sense because I play the game to enjoy its insane scope and not just grind the same thing over and over again! That's it, why I have so many characters and counting. And I'm not one of those people who have to be filled with grinding waiting for new content. I've been billing my subscription every month for over 11 years, new content or not. That's not going to change unless I have to grind (and I hate grinding). And I would imagine I'm not the only one who finds this gear system a middle finger raised for being a subscriber with that many characters almost since the game's launch. So either I need 15 instead of 7 legacy bank ramps, it will be possible to copy earned AND upgraded equipment, or something else has to change. It can't (for me) stay the way it is now, unless the raised middle finger is really what you want to show us (me) old SWtoR players. And that's not meant in a bad way! I love this game (patch 7.3 included) and I'm grateful for it, otherwise I wouldn't have been hnon stop happily subscribing to it for so long. And sorry for my bad english! I'm an (old) native german and without google translater it's impossibel for me to be a part of this forum, because the german part of it is just for ... nothing. No one from Bioware is reading it. But I don't know if it's the case here.
  4. I have to buy a new OS because Windows 7 64 Bit isn't supported by a 11 years old game that is updated to 64 bit? Are you serious? If that's the answer/solution for a "patched in error" I have to consider, to cancel my 11 years uninterrupted subsription. That's a insolence as an answer!
  5. Same here! - Windows 7 64 Bit - download update and installing worked perfectly - klick "play" -> nothing happens, button greyed out - klick on launcher window, play button light up - klick "play" -> nothing happens, button greyed out - checked "compability mode" -> nothing selected - closed launcher - downloaded DirectX9, decompressed ist, run SetUp, restarted windows - start launcher, klick "play" -> nothing happens, button greyed out - closed launcher - checked unblocking of SWtoR in Windows-Firewall and Microsoft Security Essentials - deactivated Windows-Firewall and Microsoft Security Essentials - start launcher, klick "play" -> nothing happens, button greyed out - klick on launcher window, play button light up - klick "play" -> nothing happens, button greyed out The launcher appears to work perfectly, no hang up, nothing. It just don't do nothing or don't conect anywhere. The whole 35 GB update ist just a "launcher killer" or "hey guys, we close the game and camouflage it as an update". :D
  6. First sorry for my bad english, I am a native german and my last english lesson is decates ahaed. I don't find a thread to talk about the new UI, so I write my two cents here. Please move, if I'm in the wrong place. And now I have to say, that I didn't like the appearance of the new inventory. It looks "cold" and "simple". It give me the feeling, I'm in the area of the "first order" because it looks like the "I-Trooper". The old UI looks more like the old republic, than the new one. Also I don't like the new "8 slots in a row". I have to say that I like the new character creation menu. It was the time to renew it, it looks much better and in this case the new look fits perfect for me. The all over menu is something I have to familiarize with. It's new, I cant say I like it more or less. But I didn't like the look of the new inventory, especially the 8 slots per row!
  7. There are bugs and bugs and bugs. New ones in the new story and flashpoint, old ones all around the game. With every new content some old bugs are in the game again. That's sometimes... annoying. But I love the new story! That's BioWare at it's best. Telling good storys. At some points I sitting in front of my monitor and have to think about it, because it's awesome. Some "old" storylines, sometimes a little bit confusing were merged in very, very nice way and leave me with speechlessness sitting there. I love it and have to say "thank you BioWare" for this. There were not so many moments in the game, where I feel a little bit of the KotoR-Feeling. The most of this moments were in the vanilla game and this story hyperdrives me back in this beautifull game moments. Nice! Work on this way. And sorry for my bad english from an old guy from germany!
  8. I have the same problem. The chapter stucks, the droid didn't fly to the roof (filmsequence). He just stand around, can't walk, can't do anything. I try to press escape and start the "skill"... nothing. Travel to stronghold and start again. Restart of the game... nothing.
  9. Yepp! Stuck in loading screen.
  10. For shure the Nar Shaddaa-Stronghold isn't reacheable (for me).
  11. For the moment it's all good. A new hope... EDIT: Nope! I can't travel to my strongholds.
  12. Captured at Voss. I can't travel to spacecraft, stronghold, or anything else. Also I can build nothing. No conquest, nothing. It's a trap!!!
  13. I have no idea, where do you learn german, but that german word is... not german. Setzen, sechs!
  14. Thanks for your fast solution!
