  1. Starting with the film would be my recommendation. Although, I think the Clone Wars film is not as good as the rest of the series. Although, it's not that bad either, it just moves a little slow in my opinion. One great thing about the Clone Wars is that, at least for me, it just keeps getting better and better! If you decided to skip the film, you could still understand everything that is going on. But you'd miss out on the introduction of Ahsoka who is a main character.
  2. Nah. I'm having lots of fun without recount and without a combat meter. No support from me on this.
  3. Glad you resolved the issue! Good gaming!
  4. Okay, there's a few things that might be going on here. So, let's if we can get you fixed up. First of all, as far as I know, you should never link your weapon/blad to your quick bar. Instead, you should equip it, by dragging it from your invetory to the correct slot on your character screen. Once its there, you never have to deal with it again. What may be happening is that you are losing your attack ability buttons somehow. Try this. First of all, look to the right of your quickbar and you will see up and down arrows that will move you up and down through a number of quickbars. Click these up and down and see if you have accidentally switched to a different blank quickbar. If that's not the case, then try re-adding your attack abilities to your quickbar. Up at the top of your screen, you will see some icons. One is for a list of your abilities and powers. Find the ones that you are missing and then drag them down to spots on your quickbar. The last thing that I can think of that may be happening is that maybe your blade is breaking? (although it hasn't happened to be before, maybe its possible?) Try this to be sure. Go to any merchant and right-click them. At the bottom of their window, you will see REPAIR. Click that and see if your equipment needs repairing. Oh, and you can also click on the BUY BACK button at the bottom of the merchant window. Maybe you accidentally sold them? If so, you can get them back that way. I hope this info helps you get back in the game and killing alien monsters again!
  5. Darth Talon, of course! http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Darth_Talon
  6. The mod system seems very cool....but... I still want my appearance tab!
  7. By no means is this necessary to enjoy the game. If you'd really like to delve into Old Republic history, here's what I'd recommend. First, start with the graphic novel Tales of the Jedi: The Golden Age of the Sith Then the following graphic novels in order: Tales of the Jedi: The Fall of the Sith Empire Tales of the Jedi: Knights of the Old Republic Tales of the Jedi: The Freedon Nadd Uprising Tales of the Jedi: Dark Lords of the Sith Tales of the Jedi: The Sith War Tales of the Jedi: Redemption Knights of the Old Republic - (There are 9 graphic novels in this series) Then, if you feel like it, you can play the following video games: Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic 1 and Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic 2: The Sith Lords. That should bring you up to speed to about 300 years before The Old Republic Game. For more current events, the people before me point you to the excellent timeline links and books set immediately in this period.
  8. I play on Rubat Crystal: Rubat was a type of crystal used in the construction of lightsabers, also known as lightsaber crystals. The planet Phemis was the only known source of rubat. When placed in a lightsaber's crystal chamber, rubat sharpened the appearance and definition of the blade, allowing its wielder to easily track the blade and strike opponents properly. The crystal would also help its wielder attack faster.
  9. Vector Prime and Path of Destruction. I also loved the Young Jedi Knights series and the Jedi Apprentice series. But why no love for the graphic novels?? Star Wars Legacy is beyond awesome!
  10. I haven't read many novels from the Old Republic era. I'm currently reading Fatal Alliance by Sean Williams, but I'm not far enough in to recommend it. The Darth Bane novel by Drew Karpyshyn called Path of Destruction was very good, although it takes place some time after the current game timeline. How about graphic novels? I really enjoyed the Knights of the Old Republic graphic novels. The first one is called Commencement.

  12. The Empire Strikes Back is probably the best of the films. But... I watched a few episodes of the very first Buster Crabbe Flash Gordon serials. Then I watched Akira Kurosawa's Hidden Fortress. Then I rewatched the Phantom Menace and I saw it in a completely different light. Now I love the Phantom Menace.
  13. I also was slow to warm to the Clone Wars series. But now I'm totally in love with it. Ahsoka rocks!
