  1. The second option implies you get your original companions back naturally as part of the story but you can use the terminal if you don't want to wait. Do we have to wait until Chapters 10 and beyond to get original companions back or do you get them back via alerts as you raise your influence ranks with the four alliance contacts? If we get them via alerts as influence ranks increase I don't mind waiting. Just wondering if that is the case or not.
  2. In order to get this Legendary title/achievement, do you have to complete all 8 class story lines before the expansion is released or can you finish doing all 8 class stories after the expansion is released? For now I have only completed 5 class stories so need to know if I should devote the time between now and Oct 20 leveling up the 3 classes I haven't played yet.
  3. The irony of a gunship player whining about being 3-shot by a scout is pure comedy.
  4. During one match very early in the match with maybe 1-2 minutes elapsed my dog started throwing up all over the carpet so I immediately got up to take him outside and then clean up the carpet. When I got back to my computer a few minutes later I was on the Ship Select screen so I selected the Ready button. The match ended a few seconds after I got back. I got roughly 300 requisition for essentially doing nothing. I'm guessing one of the first enhancements that will be added to GSF is some form of anti-AFK code similar to WZs where you need to get X amount of medals to get any requisition.
  5. IMO that is the most lethal combo for Sting/Flashfire.
  6. I'm on Shadowlands and have played in over 350 matches, with roughly 2/3 of those on the Republic side and 1/3 on Empire. I almost always win on the Republic side except for when its Republic vs Republic. Even when I lose on Republic side, the matches are typically competitive. When I play Empire, I almost always lose and the matches tend to be blowouts. No idea why the Empire sucks so bad in space PVP because in the ground PVP warzones Empire usually wins.
  7. Do you have reading comprehension problems? I don't even play a gunship so how can I even resort to the runaway to the protection of the turret escape? After playing 350+ GSF games, I think I have a pretty good idea of how to play my scouts and strike fighters. Like I pointed out already, the only times gunships kill me is when I am involved in a dogfight with someone else. Apparently for you I needed to also point out that those dogfights were centered around taking or defending objectives. FYI when I die to a gunship in this situation, that is a pretty strong indication the gunship is also involved with attacking or defending that objective. In other words, when I decide to go take out that gunship, it also helps our team control the objective. If your self esteem requires you to believe I have no skill and am useless to my team, then that is fine by me. I will freely admit that if you can do all you said you can do in 15 seconds, you are far away the best GSF player in the world and we all bow down to your superior skill.
  8. Not true at all. If you want to level up with GSF, buy a few legacy ranks to buff your EXP gain by 6% per rank. I am leveling up an alt doing nothing but GSF and class missions and I routinely get 25K or more per match.
  9. If a team is so bad that enemy gunships are able to camp their spawn point, the outcome of that game has already been decided. BTW you get extra spawn points when you cap A or C so unless the enemy has 3-capped, you can choose to spawn at the capital ship for A or C.
  10. Umm, what gives you the idea I don't know how to deal with gunships? My scout is fully upgraded with all the offensive oriented components and with Blaster Overcharge I can take down a gunship in just a couple of seconds. When I get killed by a gunship, almost all of the time it is when I am already in a dogfight with someone else and they pick me off while I have someone else targeted. When I respawn, I just go after the gunship and kill him to make us even. If I mess up and don't kill him before he escapes to his capital ship turrets, I usually just hide behind an asteroid so he doesn't have line of sight and wait for him to return.
  11. ...would pretty much all of the complaints about gunships go away? I play both Republic and Empire and pretty much all of the gunship pilots on both sides flee back to their capital ship if you start attacking them and force them to maneuver. If you don't kill them fast, you have to stop chasing them because the capital ship turrets will destroy you. If you stop and move back towards the satellites, the gunship will turn around and try to snipe you. You are likely dead unless you have some boost saved up and some defensive cooldowns. When I play my scout I devote most of my time gunship hunting and the turrets are more annoying to me than the gunships. Anyone else feel the same way?
  12. I'd like to know the won-loss record for each server broken down into the past 24 hours, past week, month, all-time, etc. I have an idea which faction is winning more GSF matches on my server but it would be nice if the SWTOR.com website had a page devoted to each server's W-L statistics.
  13. I fly nothing but scouts and strike fighters and pretty much the entire match is nothing but dogfighting.
