  1. Applications still open! Looking at this time more extensively for a Sorc Healer. Kote Darasuum!
  2. Got to give these guys a thumbs up. With only a few core Republic PvP guilds, these guys are definitely up there. Good luck to you.
  3. 1.7 will bring new changes to PT and other classes, when will Merc get a boost, I have no idea. But quitting and rerolling is not the answer in anyway. I've honestly had some frustration, but if you work at it and run correct sets you can do fine in PvP. Nothing amazing, just good.
  4. I've been playing Merc for a while now, and I've got 3 pieces of EWH including Mainhand but I was posing a question to those out there to see what you're rolling with: 1: Power VS Aim - I've been really conflicted on what to do, a few weeks ago I had around 1950~ aim and very little power, but now I've lost some aim to around 1750-1850 aim and around 750 power and I've been hitting a lot harder and doing overall better numbers in damage. What are you guys opinions? Should I continue stacking power or start going back to Aim now with power so high? 2: What EWH set are you guys running? For WH I was running a full Eliminator setup, but now with the question of Power vs Crit or Vs Accuracy, I'm not sure what I should run or start mixing with CT a little bit as well.
  5. Don't do this... Honestly, I hate the people who say this. You know what class I asked about and people told me the same thing? Jedi Sent/Sith Maruader. Honestly, yes, there are OP classes and Merc is not getting a lot of love. But it's time will come.
  6. I've switched more recently to some Power/Endur augments, and it's mostly if you're looking for more damage and the Aim isn't doing much of anything anymore. I'd say stop stacking Aim when you're like at 1.7-1.8k. I have stacked power to around 500-600 depending on buffs and I love the extra damage on some of my attacks that are more consistent than Crit.
  7. I'm assuming, hopefully, in the next update we'll get some sort of boost, because we sure as hell need one. Whether we get a boost or PT, Marauder/Sent, and maybe even Op get toned down a little bit that will help. But I really do hope that things get better.
  8. The Mandalorians are scouring the galaxy for the finest and most loyal soldiers to fill it's ranks. The challenges are endless and the offer will come only once in a life time! Overview We are currently accepting new members who are mature and able-bodied players that are PvP oriented. We welcome PvE players as well. Roleplay is completely optional. Whatever your preferences, we have something for you. If you are interested in Roleplay, we also hold weekly events to spark your interest in the fascinating Mandalorian Culture. We are a medium sized group of close-knit players wishing to expand our influence on The Ebon Hawk server. The way our guild works is a two-pronged clan based system. With one working on PvP (furnishing the Ranked Warzone Team and grooming lower leveled or lower geared players to achieve eventual Elite WH and Ranked Warzone status) and one working on PvE (furnishing our Ops team and grooming those lower geared and lower leveled to eventual Hardmode and Nightmare Ops status). We accept all levels and all professions for positions in the guild. What we are looking for We are currently looking for any profession that are skilled in their field. Whether you are interested in PvE or PvP, you should judge based on the following guidelines: PvP: - A minimum of 8 pieces of War Hero Gear - Valor Rank of around 50-65 - Proficient grasp of PvP Concepts (Applicants are welcome to join us on PvP Events to demonstrate what their made of.) - Teamspeak access (Microphone not required, but encouraged) PvE: - Gear changes depending on Operation or Flashpoint - Completion of at least 5 different hardmode Ops/Flashpoints - Ability to listen and follow orders of Raid Leader - Teamspeak access The Perks Being enlisted into the Mandalorians has it's perks, along with renowned fighting skills there are numerous benefits: - 3 Tab bank slots, with gear to help level under 50 players, stims and grenades furnished for PvP, and Cartel Market bonuses - Teamspeak server for cooperating in PvE, PvP, or just talking with other guildies - PvP groups nearly at every time of day - Ranked Warzone Teams (For those Elite few who wish to apply) - Weekly Ops and Flashpoints - Guild Site (Located... Here) - RP opportunities with guildies on a weekly basis If you are interested, please follow the link to the guild site above and complete our application on the website, PM myself on the Forums, or mail me (IGN Aka'an) or any of our officers, IGN: Reega, Galraan, Ironshot, Atti. Becoming one of the Galaxy's most elite fighters is within your grasp. Are you willing to accept the challenge...?
  9. How powerful is a fire that can consume the world, therefore extinguishing itself. The greater is rages, the more is needed to keep it alive. And in the end, it consumes itself.
  10. Mandalorians in my eyes are above average Infantry units in the Sith or Republic, and still above or on par with Elite Units or Weak Jedi/Sith. People dislike the Mandalorians of the Mandalorian Wars, because they could kill a Jedi, successfully. Oh my GOD! A Jedi gets killed by a non-force user... Well, let's take a look at Order 66 when a bunch of clones almost successfully wipe the Jedi off the face of the galaxy... Mandalorians are trained from birth, and the ones that make it to mid-age are Veterans. They've been through many combat situations, and in this period, they fought both with and against the Sith and Jedi. Several people throughout Star Wars lore have figured out how to kill Jedi. Person of Note, Atton. When you fight an enemy for a long period of time, study everything about their culture and fighting techniques, as the Mandalorians do for the Jedi, you learn how to best them. Regardless, does this mean a Jedi is on par with every Mandalorian, no way. But there are Mandalorians out there who can kill Jedi, as well as Jedi getting sloppy in battle and being killed. Hell, Jango was noted to have "slain multiple Jedi with his BARE HANDS" At Galidraan, and it was approved canon. As far as Beskar'gam goes, the Lightsaber resistant materials required to make it, are rare. Not every rank and file soldier of the Mandalorian Armor will be wearing this. Or they would have won both the Mandalorian Wars and anything following in the Great War. Mandalorian Veterans and Elites are the ones who typically have pure Beskar, and some only have few pieces of it. Mandalorians to me represent a culture similar to that of Sparta. Regardless of what Traviss says, I do not agree with the drawing on the Vikings. Mandalorians are raised to fight from a young age, just as the Spartiatai were taken at the age of around 10-11 for formal military training. The parallels go on to say that Spartans, except for a few instances (Which they were highly dishonored for doing so.) surrendered. Mandalorians are typically the same way, drawing on statements during the Mandalorian Wars. Malachor V was a rare and dishonorable event that occured, just as the Spartan surrender on Plyos. Which leads to another point, that they can both be defeated and lose. They are not invincible, and it's pretty much routine the Mandalorians, although "winning in the beginning, are majestically and heroically triumphed by the forces of good!" Overall, in the lore of Star Wars, Mandalorians are used a character or army's legitimacy. Revan, made legitmate by besting them in the Mandalorian Wars. The Jedi in the time of Dooku are seen killing them at Galidraan, one of the SWTOR famous Bounty Hunters, made her fame by Killing Mandalorians, and the smugglers that defeated the Mandalorian blockade, were legitmized by killing Mandalorians. And in my opinion, they deserve much more than this. Why people hate them so much, is a guess but to say people hate the "Fandalorian" types who kiss Travis' feet and say Mando's can walk over everything that moves in the Galaxy. Just like people thought after watching the movie "300" for the first time... But in the end, as I look back at the post I just made, I consider myself a heavy fan of the Mandalorians. But just because I respect cultures like theirs from history and what they fight for in canon. ** Edit ** Also, the New "Mandalorians", are not Mandalorians. Just as Sith is not Jedi.
  11. We have 4 AOE attacks that can damage anyone it effects for up to 1k, more so for Fusion Missile and Death From Above. I've seen Merc's ingame be in the top 5 in Ranked and Regular warzones because they know when to drop their AOE attacks and how to converse useless heat waste. Once again, are they the best AOE based class....? No, I never said that. Honestly, you can call me whatever you want, and you can whine about Merc's not putting up as much damage as OP'd classes in warzones. But saying that Arsenal Merc is only applicable in matches against low skill players, is just completely false. I do not play on a strictly PvP sever, but I do ranked weekly with and against some of the best teams on the severs and I never have had any complaints nor problems about me or any other mercs. Are Merc's the best class in the game? Not by a long shot. Are Merc's the best DPS class available to you? Of course not. But saying that Merc DPS is useless beyond a doubt in any competitive setting is once again, wrong.
  12. I had no idea, honestly. I use Aim myself, but I figured there was a diminishing return effect on it. Aim would be a good thing to stack then, but I still might throw in one or two a Crit/Surge Aug's to make sure you get to the 400~ mark for the Diminishing returns, since even if you have Full War Hero gear, you only get 256 Crit and 212 Surge total. (That's running a full War Hero Combat Medic) Not sure how much War Hero gear, nor what type he has, but in order to get the full effect I would at least put 1-2 in there to max out your Crit/Surge. The rest will be filled in by the Aim you get. If you have 400+ at the end of getting all geared out, just take it out and replace it with an aim. Shouldn't cost too much.
  13. I love Merc. I hope there are little to no changes with the class overall in the next update.
