  1. It's unrealistic to have expected a bug reported during the TESTING phase of 1.2 to have been addressed before it was rolled out? Really? Something as fundamental as sounds functioning correctly is unrealistic - especially since some Ops phases are relatively dependent upon sound cues? I don't think the word means what you think it means.
  2. 2 weeks ago, I'd have agreed with you. I tried to use Dailies to make credits, even tried to do Loot runs, etc - nothing worked like other people claimed. Then I found my Niche in the GTN market in sales, and now make 500k a day - more on most. It's just like real life - find an under served market, and provide the goods = mass amounts of compensation.
  3. Because they clearly are. Bioware is a business. A business is around to make money. They felt that had to lose some money to reward players, but wanted to limit the impact to their bottom line. Is it bad that you were excluded? Probably. I like Alts as well, that's why I have four Level 50 characters and have started a 5th. What you are mad about is they didn't cater to your personal play style - we get that. Are we upset about losing more players because of something this silly? You bet. But to say Bioware is being immature is ridiculous - they made quite a mature, financial decision.
  4. You got more. 2 times Xp/legacy for 8 hours = 16 hours of normal play. We get 24 hour of normal play. Just sayin'
  5. I don't see why not, considering it was the Community that BEGGED for more servers, while BW was telling people they wanted to open as needed. At worst, they didn't stick to their guns, and bowed to pressure from people wanting new servers because they didn't like a 15 minute queue. So - their fault for not sticking to plan, but as one of the people who asked people NOT to beg for new servers.. I saw this coming.
  6. This. In fact, they went out of their way to point out it would be NOTHING like SWG at all.
  7. *Unexpected Downtime Timeline* - Forum Edition. 1) Why are you stealing from us? (You don't pay per minute, you pay flat rate) 2) WoW (Or any other game) never did this! (Except when they did) 3) Thank god GW2 (Or any other game) is coming. (Threats are fun!) 4) They'd never do this to Americans! (Even though they do it all the time) 5) You're all whiners! (No, customers who want more than 15 minutes notice) 6) I just unsubbed (See you at Launch!)
  8. What are you all peeking at? OH- you meant peak time... News for you, they've done that to us as well at times. Don't know why you seem to think they haven't.
  9. I sincerely hope they simply add a "Companion roll" option - there are so many times I could use gear for my two companions who use Heavy Armor that completely removing an ability to roll for gear for them negates their viability.
  10. On top of this - Don't use Columi gear as the example. I PVP in Rakata gear and do just as much damage, get just as many kills as those in BM gear. Sometimes, skill trumps gear. Just saying.
  11. Just curious - why do you think you are part of the "majority"? Is it that you see a lot of posts that mirror your suggestions - or is it that you think the more "hardcore" gamers are a game's bread and butter? Fact is - casuals are what keep a game afloat. Yes, I know this can be argued on some points, but the fact is, if you ignore the casual, all you have left is the "hardcore" - and in a niche game (And despite what people want to think, it IS a niche game), that may not leave enough for Bioware/EA's sustainable 500k per month target. More people are here simply because it is "Star Wars" than are here for a "next gen MMO".
  12. Ah, but this wasn't a call to "fix" anything - it was a call to bring out the inequities we see from people every single day into a single thread. Also - I go to great lengths to point out these are my *personal* observations, and nowhere claim them to be 100% accurate across all servers. With that said - It may indeed be 57 to 43 when you lump all servers together as a whole. Bioware I am sure is quite aware via their metrics that some servers are far different. For instance - again, using my Main server, Darth Sion - At 4pm (IE, now) there are 21 people on Carrick station (Republic fleet). At the same time, there are 55 on the Imperial fleet. Anecdotal, personal observation - more than 2 imperials for every Republic character at this moment. This number within a few points is copied throughout the day/night when I play. But, I am certain there are servers where the reverse is true - which is how the totality of servers is viewed by Bioware. I am certainly very happy you, and others in this thread, have perceived no issues. However, just because your experience differs does not mean all the people who DO see issues are incorrect.
  13. So, as a quick but totally inefficient test, created 2 characters - a Smuggler and an Agent. Same class in theory, both human female. Smuggler: 5 people on planet/area - zero competition for kills Lvl 2 - 2 minutes Lvl 3 - 8 minutes Lvl 4 - 11 minutes Lvl 5 - 22 minutes Did not train, only did Bonus as offered (kill 10). Sold all loot at the end, 789 credits total. Agent: 17 people on planet/area - medium competition for kills in first area Lvl 2 - 2 minutes Lvl 3 - 6 minutes Lvl 4 - 12 minutes Lvl 5 - 17 minutes Again, did not train, only did Bonus as offered (kill 18). sold all loot at end, 1649 credits total. 5 minutes faster even WITH competition for kills, larger bonus pool of kill, over double the amount of credits earned. Yeah, real balanced.
