  1. Some housekeeping: Vanilla WoW only had 40-man raids, with the exception of Ahn'Quiraj City (20-man). I agree that mach of WotLK was laughably easy. Some hardmode encounters were VERY challenging, particularly in Ulduar, but that was also because gear up through ToC was poorly itemized and because Ulduar HM was "triggered" not "toggled" and incredibly overtuned. The complaining from Ulduar is what led to ToC, which was/is the worst raid in WoW history... yes, even worse than some of the garbage from BC. Again...I digress. I think your issue is that you view gear as a "reward" for completing content. It's not. Titles, mounts, and other methods of epeen flexing are your reward. Gear/tokens are just the "currency" that the boss drops so that you can theoretically improve your performance and push further through harder content.
  2. I agree with a lot of this. Especially the Hero engine issues. Using that outdated piece of junk is probably one of the biggest issues I have with SWTOR. Your last bit did hit it on the head. Can't use recent numbers as an indication of game health. Pre-expansion blues means fewer players. It'll spike as soon as RoTHC hits.
  3. Yes, the game will be running. Probably 3 servers, max... more like 2 (NA and EU). Population will, obviously, be down, but the servers will be jam packed with a mix of hardcore old timers and F2Pers that come and go quickly. In reality, the game can probably survive like this ad infinitum, but it's just that - surviving. The only real roadblock will be Disney. They are currently busy with the movies, but, at some point, they could want to break into the gaming aspect of the Star Wars IP. When/if that happens, SWTOR will likely be shut down in favor of a new, flashy AAA title. You know, kind of like what happened to SWG when SWTOR was coming out.
  4. Underworld Trading is your cash cow. The blue quality metals, luxuries and even some companion gifts end up selling for decent credits. Have Gault constantly running UT missions. Collect up a bulk of the materials, then go to Nar Shadaa and sell them after every other planet. By the time you get to Grade 4 and 5 materials, you'll huge sums. But, as someone else said, just keep questing. Creds aren't an issue while leveling. You make more than enough from quests/kills/vendoring and the occasional blue, orange or purple drop that you can sell on the GTN. Oh yeah... don't buy gear on the GTN while leveling. You don't need it. You get more than enough from quest rewards.
  5. Warrior... by a mile. Jedi story is too much rah rah hero ********. SW story has some intrigue.
  6. Better/more space stuff would be great, but not necessary. This isn't a space combat simulator. EvE is --that--way--> As for the in-game voice chat... why? Is it that hard to install vent or mumble?
  7. The one where you fight some dude and subdue him. Then he begs for his life and you kill him anyway. By far the best quest for Marauders.
  8. Am I in before http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HORkT4a2MhQ?
  9. Uhm. Not sure. However, companion conversations often get queue'd until after a chapter is completed. As such, whenever you finish whichever chapter you're in now, you might get 8 convo's in a row from her.
  10. It always seemed more "sithy" to have both. This is a dual wielding class afterall
  11. Just reinstalled about 6 weeks ago on a new machine. I've never had performance issues... still don't. However, from my understanding, issues related to shadows and other textures is related to the ancient, crappy Hero Engine BW decided to use.
  12. Leveled a Vanguard and Guardian 1 - 50 in the last couple months. Guardian was on Preferred and Trooper w/ sub. Guardian was no more than 1-1.5 levels behind the curve so long as I did all available quests and bonus series. Trooper was no more than 1-2 level ahead of the curve, did all the side quest, bonus series and even some flashpoints. Yes, the xp penalty for non-subs hurts a bit, but it does not make things unbearable. The normal xp for subs certainly makes life easier, but it's not game-breaking.
