  1. Interesting that you have to be Imperial (who is most often considered to be dark side) to actually have viable options.... and more than one of them to boot!
  2. My daugher is old enough to play this game, but I won't let her specifically because of what is implied with this character that is patterned after a domestic animal. A twilek has skin, is human in appearance, and is not an issue. It is a fantasy game about aliens. But I draw the line with this one in particular. A cat is very much an issue and I do not like the message this sends. It is truly disgusting! Implied sex happens quite often in this game. Seems this is true more for male toons than female, which in itself is rather biast. But he looks like a cat, has fangs like a cat, has fur like a cat! Additionally, we cannot change his appearance in the game like we can with other companion characters. But if we could, his race is still a cat race! There is a mission on Tython that involves a cat person (who is the same race as Aric), and she is very deliberately discribed as a cat! This is just sick!
  3. Just.... ick! And is he going to try to kiss me? Is he going to ask me to marry him like happened with my other (who I also despised)? Just... yuck! I get the feeling the dev's who wrote these storylines for female players seriously HATE the idea of a female player enjoying the romance storylines in this game.
  4. Can we make him not a cat? He is supposed to be my courting companion and well... that's just really.... not right.
  5. Aric is supposed to be my courting compaion and he doesn't like courting gifts? And yes I am a female trooper. Is this a bug? Or maybe he isn't actually my courting companion and I am mis-informed? I kind of hope he isn't. He is a cat guy. That is really kind of too weird for me anyway but I do want to build up rep. On a side note: I cannot even begin to describe how dissapointed I am with the courting companions and flirt options for all female toons. How bizzarre, since female players are more likely to enjoy that sort of thing IMHO. It is as though the developers have a jealousy issue and didn't want to give us any good options or chances for implied yanno.... or flirtations of any kind. Again, very weird, and very biast.
  6. I didn't realize someone had already started a thread about this three days before I started one. But yeah... this female gamer is VERY dissapointed after all the hype. The guys are getting more out if it than we are, yet women tend to like this kind of thing more than men. What were they thinking?
  7. Well I got O'l Sleezy Doc to a full 10,000 affection points. He never went any further than the sleeze. Looks like I'm going to have to play a smuggler to actually enjoy how this part of the game goes. It is really dissapointing after seeing the videos before the game came out about the companion series. They really built up the romance, only to totally let me down. T hey said that we wouldn't have to choose the romance options but it would be weird if we didn't. I tried to choose it... but I just didn't have the option to. Playing this game is like reading a good novel in all other ways, so I really expected it to be good. It's a game where I get to choose my own adventure while I play it. What a letdown this aspect has been, and totally at odds with how fun and how interactive the rest of the game is. How unfair it feels to see my male friends totally get all they want and beyond out of that part of the storyline, while I don't 'cause I'm female. I really don't understand why Bioware didn't get it that women would actually have liked that part MORE than the guys would have... yet it is totally absent. How odd that male players get more of the stuff women would actually prefer to see!! (And just a bit about me... I write fiction and I read a lot [a lot of women read a lot] which is part of the reason why I would have liked this to have more depth.)
  8. I wish femals had more flowy hair options, more hair color choices, and fewer wierd Princess Liea buns. (Ex: Blonde in the game isn't blonde at all... it's yellow.) Just thoght I'd mention it.
  9. That is what I thought at first, but then I learned that MALE jedi's get flirt options when FEMALE ones don't. My OP says that, and that is what my issue is. If male Jedi's didn't get the flirt options either simply because they were a jedi I wouldn't be complaining.
