  1. No matter how I would just LOVE to buy credits with CC as easily as I buy CC with real life money, I understand it is not likely to ever happen as it would probably harm the economy of SWTOR. The current method available - selling cartel market stuff for credits on GTN - is not only slower and time-consuming, it most importantly does not increase the amount of credits in SWTOR. All the credits you can get this way had to be originally gained by someone from a drop or quest reward - which are sources BW can regulate and balance comfortably. If we were allowed to buy credits for USD (or some such), the amount of credits in SWTOR could increase drastically over very short time, inflating prices on GTN and discouraging players who rely on earning credits through playing - and if hardcore players leave, rich spending players might follow and SWTOR would end up where neither BW nor we want it. Pity, though, I would really love to buy some credits myself...
  2. Why should I expect that? It is not some law of nature BW could either leave me to deal with or "hold my hand and protect me" - it is how BW set it up. BW could have made it different, perhaps like some of us suggest here or even more different (eg. even less friendly to nonPVPers). You seem to be supporting current mechanics simply based on "BW said so" rather than whether you think it is good/bad and why. BW is also changing things along the way (otherwise there would be no use for Suggestion Box in the forums) so they could change even this (I dont say they would). So sticking to the current way it works just because it is what BW have decided makes no sense - unless you actually like it the way it is. But judging from what you have said (being PVEer who has not been flagged accidentally) you shouldnt really care if it stays or changes like some other PVEers here want.
  3. I said what I meant - " PVE players who dont want any part of pvp and dont want to be limited by pvp in any way" - in other words, hardcore PVPers can play on PVP servers where no one can prevent them from attacking, it would be reasonable for hardcore PVE players to be able to play on PVE servers like no PVP was implemented at all - so PVP flagged players would act like "green" instead of "yellow" mobs and so be immune to any accidental damage might go their way. Believe it or not, but having auto-target nearest enemy set and an aggressive companion out is a viable PVE strategy in many situations (outside OPS etc., naturally, but you neither bring companions there nor pvp there anyway)
  4. Exactly. There are plenty of opportunities for PVP-enjoying players to play the way they like ranging from full-time pvp on PVP servers to voluntary options on PVE servers. PVE players who dont want any part of pvp and dont want to be limited by pvp in any way should also have opportunity to play the way they like - on PVE servers, naturally.
  5. Yes, that would be the best way to set it up. Unlikely to happen, though. And judging from some replies here there are players who find current system challenging in a good way. No idea why - the game can offer much more enjoyable challenge elsewhere IMO.
  6. Not that I dont trust you or anything but to be technically accurate it is necessary to mention that the easiest way of making a genuine screen capture of a single player in an area accessible by a group only is that the whole group reaches that point and than other players leave the group leaving the hero alone to capture his screen. ;-)
  7. Well, that might be a hint not to discuss similar strategies on the official forum if you want them to remain functional. ;-) (No, seriously, I believe BW are quite capable of monitoring the game itself and dont need forums to find out whats happening. Finding these special strategies for yourself can be satisfying but once published, they never last for all the others to try out.)
  8. I am afraid this is something EA has no intention of solving - they have a stable strategy of luring or forcing players into using several aspects of the game beginners might initially avoid - pvp being one such aspect. It is generally a good thing - eg. I first time queued for a FP when I had to in order to obtain HK and I have enjoyed FPs very much since then. EA are trying to do the same with pvp - using things like Gree event to get more people to start pvp. I believe this "bug" or at least the lack of solving it is another intentional pvp-encouraging method. I am among those who hate pvp completely and will never participate in pvp part of the gameplay (no matter the rancor mount rewards ) - but I seriously doubt EA will ever give us any option to completely prevent pvpers from bothering players who dont want to pvp, so I am getting used to being killed occasionally by "brave" pvpers who wait fisrt untill I am weakened from pve bossfight. Its probably the only thing I currently strongly dislike about the game so I am likely not to quit subscribtion over it and thats the problem - I assume EA see some potential and no costs in enforcing pvp like this. (also note there are probably some pvpers who might actually quit subscribtion if they could no longer abuse this bug and harass others) Anyhow, should some solution actually ever be applied, I would be glad - both number 2 and 3 sound good, but anything helpful would be welcome.
  9. I wonder - are they going to give it to everybody or do they want US ALL to call them?
  10. The trouble is, I still like SWTOR more than any competition... IF it works, of course. I wish Bioware would release half the updates and new stuff over the same time and pay double the attention to avoid... how to put it politely... problems... like this.
  11. Yes, the official post is unclear - what should people stuck with downloading Main Assets 1 do and what they can expect after the problem is fixed? Any official clarification???
  12. Same problem here. Isn't there something specific you need to do during [sTAGE 1] False History or [sTAGE 2] Landing Party in addition to simply completing them in order to receive the achievement?
  13. Is it really taking so long just to decide the price? I would certainly prefer the security key to be available for the higher price then not to be available at all. Any player who is spending repeatedly larger sums than that on cartel coins wont probably mind that much several GBP extra for one time payment for the security key...
  14. Yes, that would be great - inactivity log off is especially annoying while setting up items for sale on GTN (and using only mouse, naturally). It should be a very easy fix to check for mouse movement too and not just keystrokes - even Windows screensaver is able to do that ;-)
