  1. They never do. The population can drop by another 75% and they will still blindly defend right up until Bioware announces the game is shutting down and then...then they will cry so hard for as long as they can post on the forums about how its the company screwing them over for no reason (IE: head still in the sand over why). Facts dont lie https://steamcharts.com/app/1286830 The game is hemorrhaging players. Its the only metric needed for 7.0 being a disaster and how most players do not like the changes. People can click on the lick above next week and the week after and watch the numbers drop even more. There is no sign that the exodus is going to stop because the lower playerbase will eventually start to effect even those that have TOLERATED the changes, and their ability to group, which will make their experiences worse and make them quit. The downward spiral to the end of this game has started and the developers are clearly not going to address it, so this game perhaps has 1 to 1 1/2 years of life left in it before EA decides to either shut it down or remove 100% of development and let it ride itself out until it can make no more money as it is.
  2. Dont need the approval of someone jumping into a thread to attack people when my post history has this, with other guild members saying goodbye to the game. People like you represent the worst of this games community and really find it sad that your post history is filled with you randomly jumping into so many threads white knighting Bioware many times extremely aggressively. Hope you are enjoying the games low population. ROFLMAO, who are you fooling with this? lol...this is pathetic. Stone, Cure, Aero, Medica, Raise, Presence of Mind, Regen, Holy, Benediction, Afflatus Solace, Asylum, Assize, Thin Air, Tetragrammaton, Divine Benison, Plenary Indulgence, Dia, Glare, Repose, Esuna, Swiftcast, Lucid Dreaming, Surecast, Rescue are my current skills at level 72 as a White Mage. There are 7 more coming by max level. These are only Job related skills and not the fluff skills like SWTOR also has. This is why FFXIV actually gives MORE hotbars than SWTOR does because once you get into fluff skills, cross job skills and gathering/crafting skills you simply need more than 6 hotbars. ALSO ROFFLIE at attempting to downplay the skill loss here hahahahaaaaa.
  3. I highly doubt that HeroEngine can even be imported into Unreal. So it would require a complete rebuild of all graphics.
  4. Massive difference between "dont mind" and "I hate it so much I quit". I guarantee you that the developers who are now seeing just how many people have quit would rather have those players back, than stay with something that some players "dont mind". I can personally point to over 500 players that quit over the skill changes. My entire guild, and our alliance guilds that lost around 90% of their players THE DAY 7.0 hit because almost every one of them were on PTS and saw the changes personally, the rest followed because of how long we have all been playing together. We have since made FFXIV our home because its one of the few MMORPGs that does not have a dumbed down combat system like this one HAD. The only reason I can still post, is I buy 6 month subscriptions which is ending at the end of this month, and am doing a "walk through" one last time, when FFXIV is slow, out of nostalgia. The new combat system is boring and is even complained about by new players saying that 3-4 skills at level 20 is horrible. Lastly. If you were playing before 7.0 it means you also "didnt mind" the larger amount of skills and its past time you admit that the change was MORONIC and was clearly done in some crazy hope of replacing old players of a combat system that has been here for 10 years with some magical new playerbase that likes dumbed down garbage combat. A change that is clearly not going to happen. Also, new players have no idea about the bugs being new, the gearing system being new, the UI being new. Its all about the combat.
  5. They were always over 100m on my server. Was selling the RPM for 140-160m. The main problem with this horrible gearing system is that they made it to cater to elitists, the OPS and PVP players and had the dumb idea of making it so PvP gear works in PvE AND because that was not bad enough, made it so if you have as an example a 324 PvP piece, you can get a 326 OPS thus making it so getting PvP gear is the easiest path to max or close to max IR. They need to revert back to pre 7.0 conquest reward payouts/goals and remove this garbage about using one type of gear to get max in another type while giving another way to make decent tech frags. There is your fix for the PvP/GSF issues...not this hammer to nail nonsense.
  6. Huh? It had the holy trinity. There were tanks/healing/DPS classes the only difference was is that they allowed you to make your own combination yet limited your choices enough that you could not do 2 of them effectively if you spread out your allotted points. It also had raids, only open world via things like Kryat Dragons and the like. If anything, MMOs have been moving away from the trinity for a long time and is partly responsible for the genre's increase in bad games. Anyway. The Trinity, dungeons, raids and the like are required for these types of games, in fact...RPGs in general require them. They go back all the way to early Fantasy novels and D&D, This is why video games adopted them. These are task based games of cooperation...
  7. Well, this premise is wrong. FFXIV has become the most popular MMO and is coming close to what WoW once had in terms of most popular ever. People still want to play MMOs. What is happening is, most companies are making really BAD to average MMOs and thus Subscription based games are few and far between because no one wants to pay to play a game that is not great, and these non-sub MMOs tend to be cheap/gimmicky to try to make money and the best way to do that, is cater to the elitists which tend to spend more money to appear to be even more elitist to the rest of the playerbase. The only people willing to spend $100s on character appearance are the elitist's. These types tend to PvP and raid and that is the other way gimmick games make money. P2W, or Pay for access via limiting access to raids for non-subs and selling tickets to get around weekly lockouts, lockboxes that feed gambling habits and quick dopamine fixes that young people NEED because of their obsession with social media that has turned them into addicts... THAT, is the problem with the MMO genre right now. Not the old games worth paying for. Its the garbage created for the younger players that is not worth paying for that require gimmicks to make money. BTW, really loved the lack of any actual ideas on how to make the genre "Better".
  8. Stop trying to say that two gearing systems cannot be compared. Jesus...some people try really hard to defend a really bad system that is hated by the majority of players. Bioware is not going to hire you for doing this... Also, yes I actually CAN compare what we had to what we have now. All they needed to do was keep the same gearing system and extend it to IR 330-336 or whatever cap they wanted. And no, there is not a single thing better about this current system which was created to try to force people to either PvP or do mind numbing OPS to get the best gear and I would take the old VICTORs gear set over the best new one any day of the week and that wasnt even my favorite. Kill an enemy, get a +75% speed buff for 8 seconds to get me to the next group of enemies faster whie also getting a 20% heal did more for me than anything the new garbage is doing.
  9. Did anyone actually think it was going to be fixed this quickly? A team so bad they make something like 7.0 is going to take a YEAR at least to fix things if at all. Sorry but people need to face the reality that SWTOR is not going to be a good game anymore. It is not going to be maintaining a profit long enough for these things to be fixed.
  10. No it wouldnt, its a return to pre 7.0 gearing...a thing many want. This new gearing system blows and was made for the minority, the elitists. One of the main reasons why the population keeps dropping. Yet another 1% in the last 3 days. Now only 300 away from the lowest population since Steams release and 500 lower than back in November. We lost players due to this garbage "expansion". https://steamcharts.com/app/1286830
  11. Is that why you completely ignored the post on the first page by Thomajones? Only getting a reply from a trolll? indeed. He touched on all the key reasons its happening, the reasons I was going to post because it was talked about a lot over the last 7ish months since it was put on PTS and talked about in length in the much larger GSF thread. The current system requires players to get tech fragments, a ton of them. The single best payout is GSF, the amount of other content you would need to do to get that amount is far longer. What is GSF? PvP. A niche part of the game that few want to take part in. When you make a system require a currency that can only be received fastest via the worst content in game, you get what you get now. People demanding that changes be made to make it so its only awarded to l33t d00d PvPers is only asking to make a horrible gearing system, worse. Seeing as how the playerbase is plummeting, driving more people away is not the answer. The answer, is upping tech frag rewards outside of GSF. Then making changes to how GSF awards players. Its also important to remember the conquest reward changes. Easiest conquest rewards also come from GSF, thanks to those crap changes from 7.0 Change the conquest system either back to what it was, or increase the conquest payouts on everything while also lowering the GSF payouts. Make it so those that play GSF, and doing it because they want to. Right now, GSF like all PvP is so **** that the only reason many do it, is for the easy reward and not the actual PvP. A real PvPer would want to fix that. Up the rewards outside of PvP for Tech Frags and conquest, then make the changes to the way GSF is rewarded and the problem is solved. Any other way greatly increases the risk of driving more from the game, not just GSF and only a moron wants fewer players, playing the game. Far too many have left already and its not showing any signs of stopping yet. https://steamcharts.com/app/1286830 ^just in case you want to play stupid and pretend it isnt. Second lowest average players on record.
  12. FYI the 7.0 changes to level scailing FUBARed a LOT of content for new players as well as those at level 80. I am making a final play-through of the game before quitting and have noticed that the Hutt Cartel and Revan expacs are far more difficult than they were before and I was thinking about the the Gemini Captain fight as well as the fights against the big 3, emperor/children. Wait until 7.0.2 hits tomorrow and try again as they are making at least SOME changes...hopefully they did not make them just for lvl 80s.
  13. Was going to give a long reply about the actual causes of this, see that someone else already has and is just getting a response from a troll. Typical PvP thread. Worthless as its overrun with the most toxic players. I actually would rather have them remove all PvP completely than have them listen to a single PvPers ideas on fixing things. Enjoy GSF popping so fast while you can, it WILL go back to what it was in the next few months as the need for tech frags start to drop and then you can come here and ***** about it being dead again and cry for Bioware to try to force people to play it again. People are so short-sighted. You COULD have been spending your time and energy on finding 8-10 people that actually PvP to do pre-mades against those afker/feeder/non-pvpers and winning constantly, getting whatever you get out of doing GSF while they did also until Bioware removed their heads from their backsides and give the players back what they want, but no. Come here, complain and troll instead risking the game being made worse by your insane suggestions.
  14. /golfclap https://steamcharts.com/app/1286830 Great job devs. Back to December 2021 numbers in 2 months. Ignoring the PTS feedback for 5 months, ignoring the main issues players have had since release. pretending only some were having issues adjusting. not addressing core issues AGAIN and AGAIN. The only actual question that actually exists is, are you going to keep pretending until its too late or not? 2 months to get back to the numbers of players from before an expansion smacks of disaster and ALL of us know of long time PAYING players that quit. Will you act now, or wait for more and more to leave and the game is at an un-recoverable state?
  15. Umm, this is not the main reason for the jump in AFKing in GSF. Its due to the conquest point changes.
