  1. An odd bug has surfaced with one of my toons. Only one toon I'm aware of cannot craft (artifice) aboard his ship. He can do gathering skill missions, but when the Artifice icon is touched ('clicked'), nothing happens. Neither can this toon go to a stronghold from the ship. When he leaves the ship, he can do both. But not on his ship. None of my other toons (I've checked a handful) are limited this way.
  2. Well, I'll be... My toon went back to his ship, and again he can't craft or go to a stronghold. Exited the ship, could craft right outside the ship. This points to some sort of 'saved game' corruption...
  3. Oh, I had the right components all right. I'm saying that when I touched the Artifice picture to bring up the recipes, NOTHING happened. No screen came up with any of the recipes this toon had learned. Then, simply flying to the Fleet Station, I do the same, and now it all comes back up, including how I can make 3 of the highest level recipe I had. Crazy. I guess it's like how you can sometimes 'fix' something by smacking it with a hammer. Things seem back to normal with this toon. That's the other crazy thing. None of my other toons were affected...
  4. Well, it got even weirder. The toon could not go to a stronghold even. Got the sound effect, but nothing happened. Now, this toon was on his ship when all of this was happening. So, figuring a change of venue might help, I flew his ship to the Fleet, got off on the station, got out of the 'green zone' on the hanger, and now everything works again. Can't explain it, don't know what happened... But if something seems broke, log out and back in, quit the game and come back, or do what I did after than and experiment a little. It'll be awhile before your trouble ticket is replied to, you have time. Can't explain what happened, but all's well that ends well...
  5. Last night I got on a toon of mine with Artifice to do some crafting. I clicked the icon, nothing happened. The same toon brought up Treasure Hunting missions with no problem, and Archeology missions with no problem. But when Artifice is touched nothing happens. Other toons I tried are able to craft other skills, but Artifice will not work for me. Any ideas?
  6. I double click my launcher, put in my password and authenticator code, click, and sometimes the game starts just fine. Other times after putting in my password and authenticator, nothing happens. I have to restart the computer, then it works as normal until the next time it fails, forcing me to restart my computer again...
  7. So, I'm really only focussing on completing the different level achievements, except for the last one as I don't want to have to work up 8 toons to do so. Specifically looking at completing the Champion Level, at the first guide I saw, on the SWTOR website, is this set of requirements: COMPLETE ALL THESE CHALLENGES TO UNLOCK YOUR REWARDS: Complete all 16 Chapters of Knights of the Fallen Empire Expansion on 1 Character (Chapter 15 launches June 30 and Chapter 16 launches late July) Complete all Flashpoints in Solo or Tactical Mode Reach Valor Rank 5 Complete 5 Alliance Alerts Clicking the link there to the other guide, I see this: Flashpoint Expert To complete the objective “Flashpoint Expert”, you must take a Dark vs. Light event character and complete the following Tactical Flashpoints (in any order): So, what is it? Can I just do the flashpoints in Solo mode to complete the Champion Level, or do I have to do it in Tactical?
  8. I'm going off memory now, but for that Eternal Level, it's Republic OR Imperial. Which would make sense unless they INTEND to force you to have at least one on each side. I mean, if it's Light VERSUS Dark, sticking to one makes sense.
  9. So, in the days leading up to the beginning of the L&D event, I looked at the online guide, the guide at the website, for how to increase in the L&D levels. The first two levels are pretty simple, then it seems to get complicated. Then yesterday I started a Republic and a Sith toon, because I want to accomplish the Eternal Level, for the companion, and found the following at the TOR website: Reach Level 65 with a Republic Character Reach Level 65 with an Imperial Character Complete Round 5 of the Eternal Championship However, checking the in-game legacy guide to the event, it seems MUCH simpler up and down the scale. Am I reading this right? Is there a difference between the two?
  10. But in anything north of an insect, particularly anything approaching sentience, the differences are less than a bald male with red skin, very angular features and two prominent horns compared to a furry female with feline features... Yes, birds do look different, but aside from the color and size of some plumage, it's not that different. It's all feathers. Among mammals, the male deer often has a pronounced rack of antlers, the doe only a small stub. The version of the Devaronian female that has a disk where the male has horns would resemble that. But some of this other stuff is hard to wrap one's head around...
  11. To each their own, I suppose... We're talking about humanoids here so I think the male/female lion parallel makes more sense. In part it might come down to what Disney/Lucasarts can 'sell', or what would be believable. The male Devaronian has horns, the females don't perhaps. Or the females have hair with or without the horns. In game the Voss have a difference in colors, of skin and eyes. The Cathar seem a bit different to me too. I don't think there's a reason they CAN'T do them differently, I just think it's a hard sell to credibility. Whatever, just give me a male Devaronian and I'll be happy, I only play males anyway...
  12. I think the chapter is EXCELLENT. I played through it first with a Juggernaut that had married Vette. I'm very satisfied with that aspect of it. Gault Rennow/Tyresius Lokai, how can you go wrong? VERY entertaining. The back story, and the outcome? I'm very, very satisfied.
  13. Nautolans? Maybe. But it leaves me with a big case of 'meh'... Really, part of the charm of Devaronians comes from their EXCELLENT example, Gault Rennow/Tyresius Lokai. In a sense, I'd love to play that guy, a roguish smuggler making the most of the humorous dialogue options in the game. I suppose I'd play him a little darker than the rather moral smugglers (!?) I tend to play. Rennow/Lokai is such a fun character, full of gall and panache!
  14. What madness is THIS? Devaronian females don't look anything like the males? Sorry, I chalk that up to fan fiction comic book silliness. Show me something in nature that looks THAT radically different between male and female... And I get that this is science fiction/fantasy, but puh-leeze! I could buy that female's horns aren't so prominent, maybe even present... I could buy Devaronian females looking like red Zabraks or Sith (the race) (with or without hair). Some of that, though... no...
  15. Right. I really would like a Devaronian player character now. I'd roll a Devaronian Smuggler in a heartbeat! Just sayin'... And, the chapter's playing fine for me, with my Jugg meeting his beloved Vette and all. Great stuff! This was an EXCELLENT chapter!
