  1. I dislike all the services that are trying to grab some subscription $$. Netflix makes sense because they are an aggregator (lots of sources of content) but places like NBC are trying for their $15ish too. I think they'll find they saturate the market as consumers have to decide which to get and which to give a pass, with each company making less as a result. Sigh. So it's with that background that I find Disney has enough offerings I am tempted. Strictly speaking they are not an aggregator but they have a lot of stuff, including a lot of things like SW that they bought. I'll probably end up trying them in November and if I like the shows, I'll keep paying, at least for a while.
  2. Now that I have run that escort mission a few times I've realized part of the problem is that the starfighter keybinds don't match the controls for the class ship. Even the default is not the same. For example, in starfighter by default [space] is boost and [v] is autoroll but in the class ship [space] is autoroll. Nor can I find anywhere to edit the keybinds for the class ship. That's...insane Two ship flying activities with DIFFERENT controls? Certifiably crazy. I mean, am I missing something? Because I am super noob so it would not surprise me if I just don't get it and the game designers weren't completely nuts.
  3. EDIT: Ok, I just realized I can zoom that map. OMG, I'm such a noob! I must be doing something wrong. I did the first (escort) mission but there's nothing on the galaxy map to go back to for a repeat. Pic of my Galaxy Map: http://i.imgur.com/rthtsp4.jpg
  4. Ok, thanks. It's the class ship I'm messing with right now. I'll try repeating that starting mission till I get the controls down. I tried GSF and scored hits but that always brought immediate retaliation and pretty much instant death. I could hit them multiple times and they were still in the fight but when they fired I died as soon as I knew I was being hit, so no time to react. If i'm running a beginning fighter with beginner skills against a tricked out fighter with veteran skills, that explains it. Also why everyone else knew where to go and what to do while I was still figuring out the objectives. Pretty much my typical experience with PVP: Spawn, insta-die to some kid who plays this stuff all day. Re-spawn, re-insta-die. Rinse, repeat. So PVP not my fav part of most games. Imagine that.
  5. Is there somewhere I can go to practice flying my ship without being in some big battle? The controls aren't like anything I've used before. Or is there a way to run that first mission over and over? It did not seem like it would be too difficult once I get use to the controls.
