  1. Actually that reminds me..two actors, I forget who...one of them was playing the bad guy, with a British accent. He was an American actor. Another, a good guy, with an American accent...Britsih actor. O.o
  2. The Exile was a pretty interesting character. It CAN be done. I'm not saying that the "create a character" aspect shouldn't be respected. My characters, like yours, have a backstory. Its important. I'm just saying that BioWare tries hard, but I think they're overrated. But what they are is a symptom of good things, an improvement in storytelling. They are on the positive end of the spectrum.
  3. Any alien force user would have sway, but not as much as a human force user with just as much power. Moreso in the military is this evident.
  4. Got it every 5 seconds when I went to Drommund Kaas as an IA as a Chiss in the beta. "Bloodly aliens..oh uh hello." "Listen you stinkin' alien" "Don't worry I'm an alien too. Lets be friends." "Aliens just don't think the same, you know? Rather slow" That sorta stuff. But, I'll admit I didn't get that far during the beta, and it was better done than that =P
  5. That's really not it at all. The game goes into great detail. On Korriban, there's a quest to check the purity of the Overseers. The dialouge changes if you play an alien, and the game makes it clear that they hate you soley because your an alien. You are ineferior BECAUSE you are alien. The game makes it clear Pureblood Sith<Human<Alien. Even if your the same rank as someone else, your lower if your an alien. Also, the "Pass on the Sith-human hybrid" is inherently speciest.
  6. I think Video Game story telling is on the rise, and TOR may not be the best example of great story telling, but is certainally a symptom of it. This game focuses incredibly around a story, especially for a MMO, where you used to get more story from a FPS that focused around multiplayer and decided to put a quick campaign together. I'm not sure where exactly people got this idea that BioWare was incredible at stories, I've felt that they make a good effort, but...the best in the biz is most certainally Rockstar. Look at Red Dead Redemption, LA Noire.... I once read a review of Red Dead Redemption that made me feel like I was back in English class. So, there is definitely a rise of storytelling in video games, and while it may not be great right now, focusing on it will help improve it. And this game sorta shows that, I suppose.
  7. Speciest, I suppose. But xenophobic may also be preferable. But they're not talking about the accents. It's not a "Twi'liks are nice and all, but I'd never date them" preference. Its "Here, lick my boot. Why? Because you're an alien." Racist may an inappropiate word, but its not far off.
  8. To be fair, the smuggler story already spoils it before you. "Lets update the Codex with spoilers right before the big reveal!" "Yea, good idea!"
  9. Except I'm pretty sure humans come from Correllia or Coruscant.
  10. There is the occasional ambush, but really this is no single player game. You can only expect so much sometimes. I know I'll play my three months (bought a card instead of using a credit card) and probably just be done there...this game would have to be the best game ever to really be worth it.
  11. There's a couple classes where for some reason it just decides "F*** Tatooine" and shows the Alderaan ones instead.
  12. I pretty sure there were several British Accents during the movies, at least the OT. Because, you know, British People are evil.
  13. "Beverly Thorne" is a mispelling of "Beryl Thorne" FYI, unless she has a sister that shows up in the last 10 levels...
