  1. There seems to be a lot of off topic posts in this thread, but the core issue remains. I played for a couple of years, took a couple of years off. Now I'm back and I can't play the game because queues never pop and there's no one around? I'm on The Bastion and play during Aussie times which probably makes it even worse. I subscribed before coming back, and I'm not upset about that, but Bioware are kidding themselves if they think I'll be spending $100+ just to transfer my characters to a playable server. Without being able to play on another server I also won't be subscribing (or playing!) past this month, or spending any money on the cartel market.

    Dead?

Yeah this sucks. I just came back after 18 months away, subbed, and can't have fun because there's no one to play with? You want me to pay another $100 to transfer all of my characters, just so I can PLAY? Bioware are crazy if they think i'll be subbing or even playing beyond this month.
  4. Making collections free to all characters if you are subscribed would be epic. I would however also be OK with paying a one-time fee to unlock everything. Obviously the cost wouldn't be the same as buying each item individually, but it also wouldn't be so cheap as too screw Bioware out of too much money. I just don't like the idea of paying for potentially unlimited items twice. I feel that doing something like this would make items more valuable (since you know anything you get can be used on any character), which would drive up both the GTN prices and the amount of people buying items off the CM.
  5. Maybe it'd be cool if you wrote up a dev blog on some of the less liked things that are done? For example with the APAC server closures, you could give us some numbers about population from your own metrics, because everything we came up with did not suggest "better populations" (at least in our peak time, of course off peak is going to be better, but most of us aren't playing then are we). It'd be cool for the post to be written by the people in charge of the decision or metric collecting. I'd find this sort of thing a lot better than "the best long term play experience, is to merge the APAC servers with higher populated North American servers", with no evidence given that this will be true.
  6. I think they should sell global Collection unlocks on the Cartel Market. I made a post about it in the Cartel Market Suggestions forum. I'll re-post what I said here. I'm not really a fan of having to unlock each individual armor set, color crystal, toy, etc. for my legacy. There are a few reasons for this: They are going to keep adding all these items, and I'm not a fan of ongoing "double" costs like these. If I want to use different parts of different sets on an alt, I have to pay to unlock a bunch of different sets, so it could get pretty expensive pretty quickly. I feel like the armor sets on the cartel market (that aren't in packs and you don't really see on the GTN), aren't really worth buying for Cartel Coins. I just don't want to buy something I will use for a week before I see something else come out that I prefer to wear. I always figured if they became legacy bound they would then be worth the cost and I would start buying some of them. Collections almost fixes this. It doesn't let me use any Vehicle or Pet I've spent money on, or worked hard for, on any of my characters. It seems it is priced to unlock one or two for your legacy, but I want to be able to use different mounts on all my characters. I don't really like being locked in to just a few without having to spend crazy amounts of coins. Making Collections free would fix this, but I'm not fussed still paying for it somehow. I would just like another option. What I propose is a global unlock for the Collection. Obviously it would be worth quite a bit, but knowing I had it fully unlocked going into the future, it would be worth it. I was thinking somewhere between 5000-10000 coins for an unlock like this. Bioware could look at what people have been spending on collections, and what they think will be spent in the future, and price it accordingly so that it fits in there somewhere. TLDR; Let us buy a Global Collection unlock.

  8. Do you mean higher pops compared to no merge, or an APAC merge (for example Gav and MDN to Dalborra)? Because myself and others compared population numbers at our peak/your off peak, and a merge would be same pop-wise on the imperial side, and much better on the pub side (this was looking at fleet sizes on The Bastion). If pop sizes are similar, then keeping a server available in Australia is a much more favorable solution, as we will then still have our great ping, and be able to keep our communities fairly intact.
  9. Jeez. I check the Imp side on Bastion/Dalborra about the same time and they were pretty much the same (96/95), but that is just terrible.
  10. What I mean is the difference between merging Master D between The Bastion (US) and Dalborra (AUS, which is what everyone seems to want but Bioware) is ONE player. So Bioware saying we will have better population with a US merge is just wrong. It'll be exactly the same. I kinda feel bad for those on Dalborra, if we players from Master D hadn't asked Bioware to do something about the APAC Server populations, they may have kept there Aus server.
  11. Just checked the fleet populations on The Bastion (96 characters) and Dalborra (95 characters). I know it's not the greatest metric, but it seems that merging Master Dar'Nala to the US server is not really any more beneficial population wise. AND we lose out awesome ping.
  12. What decision has been made about what to do with the APAC situation. You surely aren't still deciding right?
  13. How is there still no solution provided to the APAC server issues? What are you waiting for?
  14. It sucks that nothing is being done about this. It's a great game, but it could be so much better.
