  1. Forgive my ignorance on the matter, but how exactly would you go about getting this (or other ) perk companions in the game? The official information is pretty vague. You can either get her from doing a mission (though the info doesn't say where you get it or what level you have to be to get it) or you can use a token (again no clue where/how you get said token). Is the development team always this lax with information when they release content? The site says you can unlock Shae Vizla by being a sub on Oct. 25th. Just logged on a few minutes ago and saw nothing mentioning it. No mission info, no token info popup...nothing. So how do you unlock the perk companions since I can't seem to figure it out?
  2. The pale skin red-headed option for Kira Carsen. I know a lot of people seem to not like her that much, but I personally find her a good match for my Jedi Guardian. He's a laid back "go with the flow" type and she's a bit hot-headed and impulsive. Another reason I liked making her a red-head.
  3. 1. Someone gave me the outfit pieces and the mods to put in them at low level (Elegant Loungewear set rather than the slave set, but I imagine they aren't that different from each other). 2. It's better than what my companion was currently wearing. 3. Getting replacement mods is cheaper and easier than buying new gear (friends I play with can craft what I need and do it for cost). 4. Most of the outfits I've encountered in game thus far look like crap on female characters (hooded robes that make them bald, outfits that don't unify colors properly, robes that make their butts look huge compared to their waist line, etc.). I'm not too crazy about the color on the Elegant Loungewear set (way too much white for my tastes), but I can hide the head slot so they aren't bald, the colors do unify properly, and they don't suffer from thunder butt like they would if they were wearing a bath robe. I'm sure there are some decent looking outfits in the game later on, but from level 1 to level 20 (as far as I've gotten thus far) I haven't found anything that I think looks decent (and the things that look kinda decent are way out of my price range so far). No doubt some peoples' reasons vary, but there's mine. Take it for what it's worth to you.
  4. 1. I want a Slave Leia outfit for my Jedi Sage. I know we have similar outfits in game as it is but they just aren't the same (they're a bit bland and have little to no color) and grinding social levels to unlock them (especially since you still have to pay to mod them out) gets real old real fast. 2. I want a Darth Maul styled outfit (complete with the hooded robe) for my Sith Juggernaut. /$0.02
  5. 1. Vigorr Jinn (yes an ancestor of Qui Gon Jinn. I didn't really like the movie he was in, but I did really like that character). Level 16 Jedi Guardian. Neutral alignment. Human. Jedi Covenant server. 2. Volgniir Gieger. Level 15 Sith Juggernaut. Neutral alignment. I liked the whole "Revanite" story arc, so I decided to try and play him with that mindset. Also Human. Shadowlands Server. Only been playing a little over a week or so, thus I don't have a lot of characters yet. I also have a Smuggler and an Inquisitor created, but haven't really played them yet.
  6. Rather than post a new thread to talk about Social Points; I'll just talk about it in this thread to save on forum clutter. Either gaining social XP goes horridly slow, or I'm seriously not doing something right. On the Sith side I ran the Heroic 4 level 15 mission arc with my level 15 Sith Warrior. The other three people in the team were level 17's. There was a LOT of death involved (especially against the last female Sith boss). In total, we took about three hours to finish this and I gain a whopping 14 social xp. Considering the difficulty, the money spent on health packs, and the repairs along with the non-existent social xp; I have no intention of wasting time to run another Heroic 4 mission arc. The drops and the monetary payoff in this mission arc just wasn't worth it by any stretch of the imagination. On the flip side of that, my Jedi Guardian (level 16) has ran the Esseles (spelling?) Flashpoint twice. Two runs of that has me up to around 120 total social xp. Seems to me like the game developers expect you to constantly play in a team to level this up in a game that is mostly a single-player game. Are we supposed to grind Flashpoints and Heroics to even have a chance of leveling social xp? Or am I just missing something or doing something terribly, terribly wrong?
  7. You guys should be ashamed of yourselves for making fun of a character that's overweight. He's not fat! He's fluffy. Darth Fluffy.
  8. Fishing (because well...people fish), card games and gambling in the cantinas (because that's something people do in cantinas), being able to use the furniture (people sit around sometimes), etc. Not necessarily for the sheer sake of having mini games, but more for the sake of adding some extra life and immersion into the game environments. More interactions, more romances, more random dialogues with NPCs, more things that add depth to the game. The term "role playing game" isn't exactly referring to whether you are a tank or a healer. Giving our characters a wider variety of things to do and interact with in turn adds depth to our characters themselves. "I'm a Smuggler, but I'm also one hell of a card player." "I'm a master Jedi, and a master fisherman." "I may be an evil Sith Lord, but I still get all the ladies." There's nothing wrong with having more things in-game to further define our characters while also giving players more things to do beyond "killing stuff". /$0.02
  9. So, does anyone have a couple of credits I can have? I'm not broke or anything...I'm just in my PJs and I'm wanting to get a candy bar out of the vending machine. I'll even split it with ya.
  10. I've had an issue with Cartel Coins as well. Bought the Digital Upgrade pack which give 500 CC's as a bonus. Got those almost instantly on my account. Picked up a monthly recurring sub because...well...the game is fun and the community overall is pretty nice. Never received the 500 CC's from subbing. Sent a message to Customer Service. They told me to check my account, and that the issue should be fixed. Logged on to my account to find I have a balance of 0 CC's. Looks like they fixed it, just in reverse. If nothing else though, at least Customer Service is still working on trying to fix it and haven'e given me the cold shoulder.
  11. Too bad they didn't sink a little more money into the voice acting so that not every player character of the same class/race/gender sounded identical to each other. Having one voice works fine in a game like Mass Effect 2, but in a game like this they should have had the foresight to have voice sets to choose from so people teamed up didn't sound exactly the same if they had the same character setup. Every male human Jedi knight sounding exactly the same comes off as a bit cheap and unfinished when you consider the effort that went into the NPC voice acting. It would be great if they fixed this in the future, but I'm not holding my breath.
  12. Human: Who wants to play as a walking person? Seriously though...I think any new races added are a good thing. More races = more variety = more people happy.
  13. 1. A Jawa on my ship once I have one. Don't ask me why I want a Jawa (I honestly don't know)...but I still want one. 2. More companions for all character classes (add them in game, put them on the Cartel Shop...whatever). Seeing dozens of Vettes and Kiras running around urks me. Bigger companion variety = less repeats. Plus there's a huge shortage of Wookies unless you happen to be a Smuggler... 3. Color changing for clothing (players and companion NPCs). 4. Better information on where I need to go, how I need to get there, and what I need to do. I get lost in this game a lot when I'm traveling from place to place. The in-game map isn't always as helpful as it should be. 5. If an outfit I'm wearing has a hood, I want an option to put it over my head. Maybe it's cold outside. Maybe it's raining. There's a reason tailors put hoods onto outfits. 6. FIX SHEATHED LIGHT SABERS!!!! Kira has an impalement fetish and it's not healthy. 7. Kill all the sand people!! Um...never mind...read from Anakin's list by mistake. 8. More skin unlocks for companions. 9. Better wages for the cantina dancers. 10. The 500 Cartel Coins I still haven't gotten for subbing. Happy Holidays to everyone at Bioware and everyone in this thread. Remember: If it's dangerous to travel solo this Christmas, take a Wookie with you.
  14. I guess I've been lucky thus far. I just started playing the game last Friday and I liked the story enough to sub over the weekend. I have a Guardian (lvl 14) and I actually had a FP group where they helped walk me through the basics of tanking in this game. I like to play tanks in any MMO/RPG I play, but each game has differences as to how tanks work as I'm sure you guys know. The one FP I've ran thus far was a lot of fun due to getting some cool people in a PUG. I know the odds of that happening are slim, but I'm glad I lucked up. I'll no doubt make mistakes as I continue to level up, and I have no doubt that some players will give me crap for my lack of experience with this game...but some people just seem to forget that everyone begins as a noob and learns how to do what they do. I have other characters that aren't tanks that I've created and played a little bit, and those instances are when I'm glad that I primarily play a tank; it helps me to remember to be thankful that the tank is trying to help keep me alive. So to all the other tanks out there in the SWTOR universe regarding what they do: Tanks.
  15. I just hope the fireworks aren't bound to characters. That way I can stuff them in my bank for a few months and then some rainy day I can just break them out and shoot them off with some random people for the sheer hell of it.
