  1. This is my first person vista of Coruscant. My favourite image at the moment http://i.imgur.com/hxotBs3.jpg
  2. Good post, there are a lot of nice green and blue gear models in the game that will never be used. Seems a total waste to me. Why not just open it up for total customisation?
  3. The Rugged Smuggling Jacket looks fantastic. Is that version female only? This would appear to be the male version. http://tor.zamimg.com/torhead/uploads/images/6470.jpg I must say that I am pretty cheesed off how the styles change based on faction/gender. Give us more choice. The Cademimu Sharpshooter's Jacket for imps looks amazing. Don't really like the republic version at all. My character is mirialan, and there doesn't seem to be much I can wear that suits my skin tone. Black or green is the only nice combination i think, hence the love for the female rugged smuggling jacket. Don't think I'll be rolling a Chiss when I roll an imp character Couldn't find any pics of the Republic version, but the model used for the following pieces looks pretty nice th-16a master medic jacket rd-06b eliminator jacket
  4. You have to consider that this The Old Republic is based on a single player game. Also the developers have, prior to this game, exclusively produced single player titles. Knowing this, you should accept that many of the subscribers to this game are KOTOR & Bioware fans that have no interest in grouping or the MMO aspects. I'm certain that if given the choice of 8 KOTORS rolled into one, in a single player format with companions, and ongoing content updates many of these players would choose the single player option over an MMO. The fact is though, that this MSPOG (Massively Single Player Online Game) does not exist, so these players have no choice but to play the MMO to fulfill the KOTOR fantasies they have been having since 2003.
  5. For me, the main problem is that it draws people away from the planets, and we wind up with fantastic locations like Coruscant, Nar Shada et al becoming ghost towns. It really is terrible, terrible design, and that's coming from a guy that absolutely loves this game.
  6. Yeah there is an option in preferences to do just that Edit: Preferences\UI\Tooltip Check Enable Companion Comparative Toolitps
  7. This is the build I am aiming for at the moment. http://db.darthhater.com/skill_calc/smuggler/scoundrel/#::f2efe4f6ef3e2f4df15e2fefef2e4fef2efe: I'm only at 35 on my first character at the moment (I like to take my time and fully appreciate the game). I loaded up on the Sawbones skills to start for survivability v champions and soloing the 2 man elite missions, but constantly healing Bowdaar is starting to wear thin, so I have decide to delve into the DF tree. This build is pretty heavy on Sawbones, with the crit SRMP ticks and UWM to keep the Upper Hand up. I will also have a very high crit chance on bleeds through gear & skills that provide extra damage and energy regain. There are also lowered cooldowns and extra energy regains on pugnacity and cool head. This is purely a solo PVE and non-hard mode flashpoint build, and I will likely respec to full Sawbones at 50 for raiding.
  8. This shot from the IGN review says no http://uk.pc.ign.com/dor/objects/816935/star-wars-the-old-republic/images/star-wars-the-old-republic-20111230065308292.html?page=mediaFull
  9. What I have been doing to avoid the aoe breaking cc (stealth scoundrel), is setting Bowdar to passive, going to stealth, using tranquilise to take out the elite, moving out of aoe range, attacking another mob to pull the rest of the pack, then taking him off passive. Bit of a pain, but it works, and he can still use his aoe attacks.
  10. This is the hybrid build I am aiming for for leveling. Takes the best of the crit talents and sucker punch and flying fists. I might respec at 50 to full sawbones if this is not viable for operations and heroics. http://db.darthhater.com/skill_calc/smuggler/scoundrel/#::fe2fefe4fef2e3fe3fefe2f7ef2ef12ef9:
  11. I'm going for this build for leveling. Plan to stack crit on gear. http://db.darthhater.com/skill_calc/smuggler/scoundrel/#::fe2fe6fef2e3fefefefe2f7ef2ef12ef9: May change to full Sawbones at 50.
  12. I think it should be done through story choices. The devs prattled on so much about fulfilling your Star Wars fantasies from the movies, but failed to include the most fundamental of themes from the movies, betrayal and redemption.
  13. Erm, you can disable nameplates permanently in the preferences screen. One of the first things I done in after starting the game.
  14. You have to have Scavenging to be able to scavenge. For droids, I think you need 55+ in the Scavenging skill to be able to scavenge them.
