Well the story is finite so once you reach the end what do I do? Quit? I'm all for story but not if the game has to suffer and let's face it Bioware has some crappy writing for a lot of the quests especially on Republic side. Inqisitor story is much more fun then say Consular or Jedi Knight.

Well put, OP. I've played several MMOs over the years, including WoW off and (mostly) on for the past 6. I've had far more fun and have far fonder memories of my Imperial Agent already than I do of any of the 7 characters I've played to the cap in WoW.

Changing your toons play-style with every patch is end-game?

The only "true" end-game that any game can have is PvP. I will let you figure that statement out, as it would take a bit to explain it fully.

Your statement of End-Game IS the game is why MMOs of today fail. This paradigm was created by Blizzard, who because of their paradigm now has to spend months upon months and spend a huge budget in creating so called end-game content every two months. After all that time and money they sit back and watch their "end-game" players burn through it in 2 weeks then head to the forum and scream for more.

You have missed the point of the topic dear Sir. This Paradigm NEEDS to be broken or we will all be stuck playing WoW forever. BW took a chance with SWTOR. They have decided to attack that paradigm.

I for one believe they succeeded.

True this. in WoW you have to grind to 85 to get to the game.
Before 85 everywhere you go it's a wasteland.
I would spread the cloths under your feet:
But I, being poor, have only my dreams;
I have spread my dreams under your feet,
Tread softly because you tread on my dreams

And you're playing a Bioware game why exactly?

Bioware games have always been about the conversations. It's about building up the story and going on a journey. Not grinding your level until you hit end game content.

They tried to make this game to be more than about just that and in that respect they succeeded.

Kill X, BONUS! kill 10 more x, BOUNUS2 kill 50 X, FINAL BONUS Kill slightly tougher X.

Go to quest giver, watch 5mins of mediocre voice acting about how those droid parts really saved the whole planet from destruction.....and yet nothing actually changes....and oh, btw, bloke Y is on planet Z and needs your help......go kill 20 X for him, BONUS! kill 20 more X.....

That is why I love this game.

When I played FFXI and WoW, I felt like all the levels except end level were pointless. Why couldn't I just make a max level character after I got one toon to max?

In this game I love playing each planet and level. I roll new toons just to see their stories because the game starts at level 1.

Once you get to max level there is still 2 raids and hardmodes to do. I personally don't care if 2% of the population has beat all this and bored with it. They would be bored in game because they don't leave their house.

if you take theleveling out you'd just have that second life social game thing lol
