Mando Healing Beam Match Crystal

Could we please have the healing beams match the color crystal being used??

I think I'd actually prefer this not be the case. The game's already kind of a visual mess/hard to read in a lot of situations, and I think most abilities should maintain clear readability; allowing the healing beam to be any color can make it pretty confusing. It also doesn't as effectively communicate that it's a "healing" ability when a red laser is hitting you.

But green does? Considering there are green color crystals in game & used frequently??
It's just personal preference on your part, which is fine. Each are entitled to that. But a "red beam" channeling on you is no different than a purple or green. No other class in game shoots a steady beam of color on you.

^ This. Have you seen the colour palooza that some OPs bosses have going on? I vote for less potential variety in ability colours, not more.
Stealthy heals, stealthy dps, stealthy tank.

No other class may, but lots of PvE encounters involve beams of color. Multiple boss fights in Gods from the Machine, for instance, involve a red beam running between the NPC and the target; whatever is standing in that beam will be damaged once the ability fires. I do not want to have to take a split second when positioning myself to figure out if that red beam is my commando's healing or the rail gun.

The specific shade of green used in the mando's healing beam (and all healing abilities) is more or less unique, and clearly indicated "healing" at a glance. A red beam going into me does not indicate healing at a glance, even if I'm in a situation where it's the only reasonable beam my character may be getting hit with. You don't really have that amount of time to think in many instances.

Actually no; the sages don't use a green. Their heals go off a gold/yellow. One affect is almost like a fire on you.
The scoundrel healer has a brighter more electric green to some of it's heals with a teal mist for the one AOE.
The mando has the bright green beam but also has some teal tints to it.
It's just more of you are used to what you see & that is what you like. Which again falls on personal opinion. I for one do not agree, and would like to have my color crystals show in the healing beam.


It quite literally impacts gameplay to take an ability which is a channeled, colorful beam, and to then change the standard color of it.
We will have to just agree to disagree because with everything they add, the beam actually matching what crystal you're using is not going to break the game.

I didn't say it would break the game, I said it would be a non-ideal change, which is counter to what I believe should be a focus of an MMO's abilities: Clear readibility.
