Star Fortress : Stuck in combat / can't exit

The "daily" Star Fortress … got to the end ready to destroy the two terminals before Ephemeris converts to a combat droid of sorts.

Particulars:
** Star Forge
** Solo
** Working on Weekly Star Fortress FP / solo mode

Got to the end where the smaller groups of mobs show up just before the first of the two consoles are available for destruction.

I killed off the mobs... waited for the next group: NADA !

The game essentially "locked up". My main character is now locked in combat.

I did submit the ticket right then. (still stuck in combat the entire time with only the music playing).

** would not allow me to "quit game" nor log out since I'm "still in combat".
** Used cntrl / alt / delt to get out of the game.
** logged back into the game (since the indication was that my character was now on Odessen and not the Star Fortress). I was still at the same place … and still stuck in combat with the same issues.

If needed I will abandon the SF / FP's and try something else. BUT for now my main character (Ol Buzzard) is stuck in combat on that Star Fortress.

Thank You

Did /stuck work for you?

The same thing happened to me a few days ago, same mode, running those Heroics for decos. Defeated one of the trio of standard mobs in order to destroy the east and west data cores, and then ... nothing. No mobs, and I couldn't access the data cores. But, I was still in combat. I wound up doing /stuck and ended up in that Star Fortress jail scenario (unhappy sigh). After that, I slowed down defeating the trio of standards. I set my companion to heals, and let my companion engage the trio of standards until both cores were accessed. Then, I finished off any left over standards.

Anecdotally, killing off the trio of standards too quickly might cause the Heroic to glitch, leaving the player in combat without advancing the Heroic.

When that happens the only way to fix it is to use /stuck, which will kill you and remove your from combat. It is most often caused by killing the side door mobs too quickly (I say most often because there may well be some other cause, but killing them too quickly generally does it). When the mobs spawn wait for the Ephemeris bot to scan one before you kill them all and it won't happen.

And if you are on a class with a "stealth out of combat" ability like Force Cloak, you can use that to exit combat.

To go to Belsavis, you must go to Belsavis.
I never had a Fine Mithril Sword of a very powerful glorious invincible hero scout with ruby inlays and platinum engraving in June language

IMO... this is what has happened. I usually try to start firing as quickly as possible. ( I hate getting too far behind … ).

I've never had this problem before though !

And yes …. I did try everything (literally ) and nothing worked. I was waiting for the "next wave" of mobs … but they never showed up.

I did try to exit in one of several different methods. Nothing worked.

Soooo .. I finally had to hit cntrl/alt … delt … and use task manager to close it out. After trying to get that character to close out the instance it was obvious that it was not going to happen. Soooo I went to one of my alts.

In the mean time my main is stuck in this "loop" (for lack of a better term).

Thanks for the input BTW ….

Best Regards

Unless it pulls you back out of stealth as has happened to me.

After having had it happen to me one too many times I now always wait to attack those mobs until the Ephemeris bot has done their scan. I'll let my comp attack them and just sit there until the scan.

Yup ! got it all taken care of !! I even move away form where the mobs spawn at … and don't even target them until they move toward me … (just to be safe).

That works. Ran all 6 and got the weekly done !

Thanks for the heads up !
