There's no point to put in freaking macros in a game, jesus christ it's so stupid I don't know where to begin.

+ you listed no advantages to it whatsoever other than that WoW players would adapt better to this game?

As to your first response, I find that those in opposition to macro implementation are not responding to, or as there responses evince, taking into account many of the statements I've made. ("Dodging", if you will).

Merely the act of having to drop your current target, use an interrupt, and retarget your previous target will completely inhibit your ability to manage such a scenario in a reasonable manner.

I will, again, reiterate. I am advocating for two functions, primarily. Mouseover support (to increase the feasibility of healing a large group of players effectively while maintaing some enjoyment) and Focus macros (to allow a player to be effective against two players, particularly a damage dealer and a healer, even remotely possible).
It's not impossible and I do it all the time. Attack X person, see healer starting to cast, hit tab, alt + x to mez, hit ` to select closet target again, burn first person to dead, then ` to select the other target and kill them.

No macro's needed, just skill.

Hi,

I am sorry to post here about this, but I have not seen anything in the 'upcoming changes' which reflects the addition of macro's to the game system.

I was just wondering why you are chosing not to add them? There are simply too many buttons atm when tanking ect, your spamming a heap of buttons waiting on cooldowns generally between 2 buttons for each skillset (sunder/normal hit) (a couple big hitters) being able to join just those two alone would save on effort so I can bring the other buttons down the keybinding list and easier to use reactive moves.

I understand the hardcores and purists will shout this down as I am a noob ect, but in my old age and after 6 or so years of wow macro's, they are a convinence much like dungeon finder I would find quite enjoyable.

Thank you

You can begin with reading the thread. There are 70 pages, half of it is advantages to putting macros in the game.

I can give you my favorite: to level the playing field between people that can use hardware macros and people that can't or don't want to

Hit tab -dont get healer get another nearer dps, So heal happens,
Then hit `to get clossed target which is now full health 4th person enitial target runs away heals and comes back to own you.

Thats how I see that going ,havent been playing long enough to test it all yet ,but switching targets and then tryimg to re-aquire my original target quickly seems almost impossible.

Besides Im lazy and want to have things like /wave and such emotes attached to a button so I can rp easier .

I'd just like them to clean up the quickslots. This game already suffers from skill bloat and it would be helpful to have macros to clean it up a little.

This whole debate reminds me of history
When ignorant illiterate people use to burn books because they were perceived as evil
Like the people against macros they show little understanding of macros
I put this down to not being able to write macro themselves so
They don't want anyone to have them because if they knew how to write them
And how they function they would understand that there's nothing to fear

My problem with macros is that you end up being better than someone else not because of class knowledge, yours or the other guys, but simply because you know more about snippets of pseudo code.
