I'm still suspicious of these things, though. At least they aren't common. Temple both got a whole chapter of story to be at least a little relevant in AND never bashed the Empress. I'd like more of that.
I won't lie, I did think they threw Vaylin into those dialogs to take some of the 'heat' away from Arcann.

Temples return was pretty good, even if the flashpoint was a bit dull.

I shouldn't rag on the recent returns too much, they just seemed short. And wasting precious time, even a few seconds, to bash the Empress seemed a bad choice. I suppose they had to acknowledge the last 5.5 years, just the way they did it was off.

And the romanced Andronikos dialog is kind of funny, even though he leads off with "psycho Empress".

Statue of Vaylin will be great.

I would accept it as a generous offering. I kind of think it coming after the whole "celebrate TOR with a Valkorion statue" makes it a bit off, but I'd take it, anyway. I'd also take a memorial decoration wall that lists all of Vitiate's victims over the years, with her name the last one.

If they added that I think I would need to get to work on my Vaylin shrine

She betrays us, whether I find her reasons sympathetic or not, and she dies of injuries received in combat. Like Vaylin, she effectively dies fighting. Unlike Vaylin, we can actually give her some kindness (though, as someone said, her asking to speak to the creep who destroyed her children while she watched is a bit much, but if I ignore that, the rest isn't bad). And we also don't have to give her kindness if we don't want to.

But, getting her medical aid and throwing her in jail would have been good, too, but I'm reasonably OK with most of how it played out.

Arcann, on the other hand, dies on his knees because we choose to summarily execute him rather than take him in. DS or neutralish? Fine. LS? With no legal authority that I can see? Ugh. If he has to die there, to the goody-two-shoes Outlander, it should be because he refused to be taken in and got up one last time. Still, at least that version gave Dad lip rather than the kind of horrid, "Go, be with my brother" (I really wanted Vaylin to say, "You're forgiving HIM?!").
Given all the damage Arcann has done to both the player's character and the galaxy - I will admit that I don't mind the way his death scene plays out. Someone in another thread said they killed him *because* they were LS and wanted to eliminate his threat to protect the galaxy, and I like that take on it a lot.

With Senya, I have no wish to be kind to her because she was so rude and abrasive and betrayed the Outlander and the Alliance, but I do like the choice that lets you say. "you threw your entire life away for Arcann. Why?" It's a way for the Outlander to say they really don't understand why things turned out the way they did and why Senya made those choices, and that was good. I'm fine with how Senya dies, yes.

Edited for brevity:
I have no problem with an LS character killing Arcann to defend the galaxy. I do have a problem with an LS choice for killing an already utterly defeated foe on his knees because he might become a threat again. Especially a rebel leader with no authority, without anything resembling a trial. That's a pragmatic decision and should have been neutral. Not DS, not evil, not even necessarily wrong, just neutral with regards to LS vs. DS.

As for Senya, like I said, I liked it because you CAN show a kindness, but don't have to. It gives you choices, including both that and giving her grief. It's why it's acceptable, unlike Vaylin's. I could not care less about rude and abrasive, but her betraying us and how she abandoned her children I can get behind as reasons for killing her, along with her treatment of Koth.

I would have preferred a npn execution method for Arcann on the other playthrough, Valky is clearly baiting you into killing him before you get the murder options.

That, also. I'm all for any storyline where nothing Valkorion wants gets done by my hand. He may still have successes, but he'll have to just take over to get them, because I sure as hell won't be doing it.

It's kind of why the thread got started, after all, though it was more specific. At least you have a choice with Arcann, but since it's "do what Valkorion wants" or "completely forgive and accept him", I'd like something else.
