I apologize if this is in the wrong forum, please redirect as needed.

I am recently returning to SWTOR, and went to update my email address. It said it would send an email confirmation to my new email... yet nothing was received.

I know i typed in the correct address... Is there a known glitch for getting this confirmation email? I also need this so I can update my security questions, and add my soft token.

Owen answerd this very well here: https://answers.ea.com/t5/Technical-...6479267#M35875

Validations issues usually occur if the email has been used elsewhere on another EA account ( not saying this is your issue but it is usually related to this)

The common solution is to change the email address used to one never associated with an EA/Origin account.

If you happen be using gmail chnage the email on swtor to you@googlemail.com instead of you@gmail.com (its the same email but it is seen as different).

The funny thing about this is that I have one that was originally @googlemail.com. The origin of googlemail.com is that when Google wanted to launch GMail in the UK, there was already another company using GMail as a trademarked thing in the UK, so Google couldn't just offer "GMail" there. They eventually bought out the rights, but until then, UK people couldn't get @gmail.com addresses.

The trademark dispute I'm still unclear about is the Rocksmith one. When Ubisoft released the original Rocksmith game (imagine Guitar Hero / Rock Band, but using a real guitar instead of a four-button controller), there were a couple of small nobody-bands using that name. The one in Canada was willing to negotiate, but the one in Britain was not, which caused a one-year delay in the European launch of the game. I was never able to find out how it was resolved, but I suspect that Ubi just hit the guy with lawyers until he gave up.
