Hey guys I was wondering if there are any DoT-based classes in game? There isn't much information online and what I have come across is out of date.

Thank you very much to the both of you. It's appreciated. I played for a few months when the game was released and quit when it went f2p. Taking a break from WoW so I decided to come back here and a lot has changed. The game unfortunately seems dead, as I either can't find much online or it's all outdated.

Welcome back!

Game isn't dead, depends on what server you are playing on . The Red Eclipse in EU and Harbinger,Ebon Hawk on the US are the most populated servers . In peak hours, online count is a lot.

Also depending on what spec you choose there may be a duty guide up to date. My choice of dps class is vigi guardian so also a dot spec.

Dulfy.net has the most recent guides for any class. She keeps her site pretty abrisk as far as SWTOR content goes.

A lot of the servers are abit dead, I would recommend Harbinger, Shadowlands,The Ebon Hawk, The Red Eclipse. Those seem the most active for the most part.
server: The Hot Prospect (10/4/2017 #NEVERFORGET)
Characters: Olivia Munn / Rashida Jones / Alicia Keys / Denzel Washington

Curious why no one listed Sabo/Engi? It has 4 dots, is that not the king of dot specs?

When I think of a DoT based class, I think DoT-Spread, like Viru spec or Hatred, Vengeance for Jugg (specially with chillin scream utlity DoT).

Engi has zero dot spread, all the DoT's Engi has are single target focused. Engi is more single target quasi AoE oriented then anything. So while yes, Engi does have alot of dots, its mostly just for 1 target, not really a DoT based class, atleast not in the traditional sense that I have come to understand DoT based classes.
