So, I Just returned to the game and see a lot of changes, I made sith a warrior and lvl up him quickly but I wanted to buy something like the Primeval Vindicator's Lightsaber to use it as offhand weapon but it appears they no longer sell gear... is there a different way to get the weapons you used to get with planetary comms?

There is an Adaptive Gear Vendor on the Fleet (Supplies section) that has some of the gear that used to be on planetary vendors, but he doesn't have that particular lightsaber.

You could try looking that saber up on Tor-fashion ( http://torf.mmo-fashion.com/ ) - there may be still a place to get it, or something similar.
