Stretched graphics - Fat character problem - Aspect ratio wrong

This is more of a solution post that can hopefully help out new players or old players that gave up and decided to play SWTOR on just a single screen of gave up completely.

This is a solution to the issue most common to multi-screen users where the UI looks correct, but the graphics of the world are stretched. I did many days of research and didn't find a definitive solution. This is what I've found.

This is almost certainly an issue with your monitor being recognized as a 'generic monitor' within Windows Device Manager and therefore that driver does not have the correct resolution/timings that SWTOR's engine needs to render the graphics properly. In my case I have an AMD R9 270x and 3 Acer G257HL monitors as my setup.

My solution was to create a custom monitor driver due to the fact that Acer does not supply one for this model of monitor. If your monitor manufacturer does have one, go download it and update your monitor drivers to the correct one instead of the generic Microsoft one.

How did I create a custom driver? Sounds complicated?

I used the instructions here: http://www.techrepublic.com/article/create-customized-monitor-drivers-with-powerstrip/

It is quite strait forward and even goes through the process of updating your current drivers.

After MANY days of frustration I am now again able to enjoy SWTOR in triple wide screen glory!

I hope this helps anyone frustrated with this issue which seems to have been going on since the BETA of this game.

I would also disable any bezel compensation if the driver change does not work.
