whoa. flag on the play.

finding and reporting a bug is one thing- and, sure, maybe some recognition or a "reward" (though, to me, the reward is not having a trashed economy, but, whatever- new generation and all that) might be called for...

but, you expect to find a bug, exploit the living hell out of it, get caught and then be rewarded for finding it in the first place?!

Get. Bent.

Big difference between going about your gaming day, killing, looting, buying, exploring and coming across an exploit and going 'wth is this?' You know it shouldn't be there. You report it to the game studio 'yo, I found this weird issue, I don't know if exploit or bug, but wanted you to know' and going about your merry way, never again to encounter the exploit. BIOWARE FORGIVES THAT.

Finding the exploit and exploiting it until it's black and blue, feels used, has to go to counseling and points on the doll where they were touched is BAD.

If I found a bug or exploit, I'd send my ticket in and go about my merry way. Bioware doesn't punish for running across a bug/exploit, reporting it and never again touching or talking about it. They DO have a problem with exploiting the exploit constantly cause you're a lying, cheating, scoundrel.

You do not understand. Removing the things they gained through this "exploit", and rewarding them for finding a bug instead.

Love how people try to justify wrong doing.

I don't think you understand how the world works.

So if I understand you, get something for telling Bioware 'oopsie there's a bug here....now give me free ****'?

*facepalm*

You should do things because it's right, not to get free crap.

I'm going to try this IRL. I'm going to devote myself to disabling the security systems at as many banks as I can so I can rob them. Then, when I get caught, I'm going to give all the money back and wait for the banks to reward me. What could go wrong?
And now for something completely different!

Yes, it's a referral link. Now, watch as I pull a rabbit out of this hat.

Of course. But psst.

Spoiler

Some people just think in one way, having some kind of fear, thinking in an opposite way, and that it could bring more motivation to developers to fix bugs very quickly.

Isn't t kinda what used to happen with hackers? They show how weak security was and end getting hired to prevent future security holes.

Hah. Linux did this a few times. Some programmers crashed the system and hacked other people from it, getting money for showing them bugs of course the people need to report this bug after "using" it. But without using it, it is not proven that it is a bug.^^ Cause then you would not even know that it is there, the devs would not know it either.

Exactly.
