This. The current xp curve is unbalanced and completely out-of-whack. No one here is asking for it to be nerfed into the ground back to EQ1 standards (as some dare to claim), but it certainly has to be looked at. If not, levelling just becomes meaningless with the current "1-65 in a day of heroics" and we might as well all start at lvl 65.

OK, true, and kinda funny. One point to you.

Hm. Started an Imperial Agent overnight. Experience gain for the purple and non-exploratory missions seemed slightly higher, but not ridiculous. Normally I have to run around killing mobs and run the heroics on the starter world to get to level 10, but this time all I did was run every mission available, including exploratory missions and I reached level 12-13 or so before leaving Hutta. (I kept missing exploratory missions and going back. I was on Hutta once about 2 years ago, so it's not like Ord Mantell. I'm guessing if I skipped exploratory missions entirely I'd probably be about level 9-10 when leaving. I'll have to try that when I start another character and see.)

I did, however find one mission had a LOT more exp than it should have: The interact with your crew skill trainer mission granted something like 28k exp, which for that level range is quite a lot. I ended up at level 14 and about halfway to level 15 after that. Oddly, the codex entries for crew skills seemed to be what they were in 3.0 and earlier. I'll put in a bug report to alert them to the problem.

I think I'll wait til the patch Tuesday to see what happens before I try going any further with this character.
Maxim 37: There is no overkill, there is only "Open Fire" and "I Need to Reload."

What you and the person you quoted failed to read was the ptch notes. It plainly says that xp was increased for pvp so that pvp players did not have to do the story at all if they didnt want to. The larger xp is an intended feature for pvp community to not have to go through the tedium of the long xp slog if all they want to do is pvp.

Personally i level both pvp and pve content , but with lvl sync its irrelevant how much xp you get as what you are doing is always providing xp and rewards on level until you hit the cap.

Please dont assume that just because a change was done and you dont understand it that it means it was done incorrectly , the pvp xp is working as intended for pvp players.

Thank you for saying it!

Your way or the Highway is not MY way.

If you think your companion is OP then DON'T use them.
Oh, but then you'll complain that your DPS is too low and you die all the time.
Guess you just can't win for loosing, it would seem.

Companions are now equals to you (as they should be, not lesser than you) after all you did train them didn't you (or do you stink as a mentor / trainer / master). Many people like them as they are now, I do, they are finaly useful for somthing other than cannon fodder. If your companion is set for DPS they can finaly DPS, if set for TANK they can finaly TANK, or set to HEALS they can finaly HEAL and keep your sorry butt alive. Where is the problem with that?

Companions ARE NOT Over Powered, they finaly HAVE the power they should have had before.

Not to be a downer, but these threads are becoming spammy. This is like the sixth remake of the same topic, by the same people. We really should be condensing it down to just one.

There's nothing wrong with stating your stance towards the quality of gameplay you've received, but making six different topics about the exact same thing is pushing it. Post in one of the preexisting threads, otherwise this'll become an 'inb4lock' gif-fest before it's eventually merged with one of the six other threads or outright removed entirely.

Here is my take just coming back to the game fresh toon only legacy 3 no other toons to feed money.

On korriban did purple, gold and heroics no exportation missions only did crew skill quest and skipped black talon. Got to DK at lvl 14.

Did the same on DK purple gold and heroics got to balmorra at lvl 21.

Have 98 crystals as I bought 1 orange focus. Now I can buy rest of orange gear and remod all of it with lvl 22 mods.

Over all I think the xp is just about right. If I just did purple I would actually be under level and if I skipped heroics I would be right on level.

Comps are a bit too strong at and could use a small re tuning but other then that I think they got the new system for leveling just about right.
