New Comps Can't Wear Cosmetic Gear???

So just a quick update on this. I tried previewing some of my gear on Lana. When I did this, my gear would show up under the clothes for her appearance, and they would clip as well. This leads me to believe that they do have a base body model for the new companions, and their current design isn't set in stone.

Even if having these new companions customizable means that we will only be able to customize their look outside of the story, and their current clothes will come back any time we access the story, that is perfectly OK with me. I'm just hoping we will be able to customize their gear at some point, rather than just having the "customization tokens" that are exclusive to cartel packs only.

You say as if wearing slave outfits was ever fitting for Jedi Like Kira or Nadya, or for soldier like Elaram or Raina.

Well, not seeing Lana and Senya in slave ourtfit is the only good thing about this situation, I admit. But it could be achieved by simply removing that gear from game. It should not been in there in the first place, since it does not fit any of female characters thematically.

It's just, the game has these of awesome armors I would like to use, but never will, unless they change their system. Like, Thexan armor for be fantastic on Lana and Zakuul Knight would be amazing for Senya. But I do not need neither of those outfits on my characters. So BW lost sales of CCs here.

I'd love to hear reasoning for them voluntarily cutting the cartel armor sales.

I never thought any of the characters NPC or PC seemed to be the type to run around in that (slave/dancer) gear (except maybe Vette and not because she chose to) because even for the PC it doesn't generally fit the story (Maybe the sith *shrug*) line given to us the players

I feel like I was the only one not going to set Lana up in a dancer outfit, I never really do that to my female characters because it doesn't make any logical sense (at least in my brain) to go hopping around Hoth dressed like you're back from the pool.

Before the Early Access hit, I had this really cool Sith-like outfit ready for Lana, since the profile picture of her had TWO lightsabers, I was goign to have her dual wield the Heirloom sabers or Thexan sabers with a red/black beam in each. She was going to KINDA look like Revan (though not fully) and just be some cool, faceless Sith.

I had a soldier outfit ready for Lennie Kravitz, but all I could do was give him a customized rifle.

Come on Bioware, don't do this to me!

PS: Hmm...the Early Access sort of a let down...what is Early Access abbreviated too?

EA!

I went through before 4.0 and bought up armor pieces I liked, unlocked sets in the Cartel Collections, and prepared to gear up a whole new set of companions, as well as give a new "5 years later" look to companions I rediscovered.

In short, I wasted WAY WAY WAY too many credits, and WAY WAY WAY too many Cartel Coins.

If Bioware doesn't come out and say this is a bug, or change it due to feedback, I'm done. They'll lose my sub, my coin purchases, my girlfriend's sub and her coin purchases as well.

As mad as I am about this, the girlfriend is going to be LIVID about this. You have no idea Bioware just how badly you F@%^&*# this up!
Look, we got four or five of the main characters on this ship. I think we're gonna be okay.

With all promises that the Devs made, It Will be fixed. They already told us that the only companion changes, are that gear no longer have any influence on the companion. If they removed the option to equip any gear to our humanoid companions, they would have lied to us. And lying is nothing you should do to a Customer.

But what makes me really pissed!! Is that we are stuck with these companions and cant even modd them untill next update. For the Love of god. How can you screw up so many things in one update?????

- companion gear disabled (maybe for life, who knows)
- cutscenes that only promises different outcome. We haven't seen anything interesting yet.
- the new companion interface is not logic at all. Someone just poped the bottle, got drunk and screwed it up. There are so many different kind of companions and some of them can't even be summoned.
- we can now recruit companions from other classes (why?) there are no reason for that. It is a stupid idea.
- WHY ARE WE STILL WORKING WITH BOTH FACTIONS!? People are playing imp or pub for reason. It makes no sense to run around adding imps as a pub player. And have a mixed faction base? Excuse my language here but ***!?
- why add another way of conversing with different npcs. Now you have the regular old fashioned dialogs, terminals, click and read npcs (rishi and yavin) and finally the old kotor dialogs. This just confuses people.
- planetary lvl adjustment???? Again why? Just skip lvls completely then. Why have a lvl system when the lvl changes for every planet you get to. Have you earned a max level, you earned it period.

This is the worst update to any game I've ever played. To make an expansion that is as broken as this one is just a shame. I actually hope that they just set us all back to lvl 60 and let us have all our companions back and do this all over again.

The story is grate! But we have already played imps and pubs side by side. No more please!!! You are killing the main thing about games and Star Wars.

Fix this before it spreads and people stop playing.

Ah this is so BW - Come up with something great then sweep the rug from under your feet. I remember the long, long wait for gear that looked like something a Jedi would wear. Very similar.

Glad I saw this thread as I was just speculating how good Sylma would look in Texan's gear. Saved me quite a few CC there.

Customisation is the most important thing to me in this game. I usually save up credits to buy armour. Not so much for myself, but for my companions. It's sort of an addiction getting the perfect costume right which suits my companion.

To not be able to do this with the new companions, they will never feel like they are a part of my crew and more like a guest appearance who will just disappear after I finish a quest.

We want to get attached to our new members, like the other old companions are to us. Will make the story that much more engaging if we had a major decision in the story in the future if we have to decide which member lives or dies. Guess who I'll choose? The ones I'm attached too. Not the guest appearance members.

Plain stupid move. I seriously can't believe how you think this is a good idea. You would make way more money allowing them to be customised to how we want them.

This is a major step backwards. Customisation is so important to me in this game, that if this isn't changed in a month, I'll think I'll cancel the game and never return. My other friends who I have been playing the game with for 2 years, feel the exact same way.

Please fix this.

Not yet, likely in the later releases, the thing that bothers me about it tho, is you have to PAY to get the companions back that you already had. Which is just ridiculous imo.
