(KOTFE) Do you really have to do PvP to recruit a PvE companion?

The thing is you don't "NEED" all of the companions to accomplish your goals. As we progress they are going to be plentiful. More and more of the original ones will open up. You got lots of new ones with the expansion. Some of them will be behind the CM wall. Some of them will come with later chapters. One of them is behind a PVP wall and others are behind grind/PVE walls.

So honestly, I don't see the big deal. By the time you spent 2 hours in Alliance mode post 65, you have access to more on a single character than you ever had in the vanilla game and you will be getting more.

So... this does seem silly to have the PVP requirement to get the commendations.

Then again the Lokin one is a pretty long list of requirements to get him.

Glad I can care less about either.. LOL (I'm sorry for those that have to do the deed and PVP to get).

Well, there's also a Comp that requires to farm World Bosses... Every time you want to recruit it.

I got a feeling World Bosses are going to be popular soon enough.
"Saviour, conqueror, hero, villain. You were all these things, Revan... and yet you are nothing. In the end you belong to neither the light nor the darkness. You will forever stand alone."
Darth Malak to Revan on the Leviathan.

I know it may blow your mind...but there are people that actually enjoy both pvp and pve...crazy isnt it?

Which companion requires PVP?

If you want to embarrass yourself, embarrass your guild, and waste HOURS on each character while trying to lose 20 matches, go right ahead! Just don't come here pretending that you're being clever. You're just inviting people to ridicule you if you do this.

Me and my guild have done it for the pvp relics when they were better than the pve ones. So yeah. Been there, gonna do it again. And no, not clever, just taking what I'm presented with and running with it to my best advantage, which is not putting any effort into something I don't enjoy, to be rewarded with something I do enjoy. Afaik the warzones are the same time whether I put in effort or not, so I can waste time and effort or just waste time.

If spending hours making a fool out of yourself and your guild on each character seems like a great way to have PVE fun, go for it. 20 matches takes hours. When you're looking at playing many characters, you could be talking about dozens of hours. Great use of your free time, IMO. Keep fighting the good fight, champ.

Thank you for letting me play the way I choose to. As I see it, it's no different than any other joyless grind for a specific reward that I make as bearable for myself as I can. I may not do it on every character, but I have two droid collectors who will absolutely want this one.
