Information:

 

<Shadow Council> has been active in SWTOR since launch. Initially a jack-of-all-trades, our focus has gradually shifted to the point where we are now primarily focused on progression PVE, with the occasional warzone thrown in. The guild today consists of 60+ active members. We are not a massive guild, nor do we wish to be, but we are an active one filled with like minded members. With the recent news of operations in KotFE many progression raiders have moved on to different games, however, we still enjoy the game and plan to keep killing things throughout the 4.x cycle. We currently have three active raid teams.

 

 

 

Guild Progression:

 

To date, we have cleared almost every bit of content in the game..

 

 

 

Our teams are on a set schedule to run current-tier end game content. We do not schedule story modes or runs of older content, though they are set up sporadically throughout the week by guild members. We typically assume our applicants are experienced enough know the SM fights and have at least some HM/NiM experience, so if you are expecting guild raid leaders to walk you through the mechanics of SM Operations, host Conquest Events, or do regular flashpoints, we are probably not a great fit for you.

 

Recruitment:

 

Shadow Council has always had an open door policy, as we are always looking for like minded players who enjoy the game and want to have fun playing it. However when it comes to raiding on a specific team we are more selective. We may even ask you to parse in front of one of our raid members on your ship (perhaps while wearing skimpy clothing). We are currently looking for talented players who think they can join our teams, step into a progression environment, and clear content relentlessly. We use Mumble daily to socialize, and require it for our raid teams. Our guild uses StarParse and most teams require that while doing progression content.

Even though those teams are looking for specific roles/players we are always welcoming of great players who can perform at the adequate level and when spots open up we would look at you first for filling them.

 

Expectations:

• Know how to play your class to its full potential
  
• Know your role but be flexible
  
• Always be ready for raids; stims, gear, medpacks etc., and be on time (if unable to attend please give at least 24hr notice unless it is an emergency)
  
• Have the proper gear and stats (min/max’ed) for your current tier of gear with augments
  
• Be prepared for all encounters, mechanics, and strategies by asking questions prior to raid, watching videos, and or researching the encounters
  
• Be adaptable and aware, ideally to multiple specs/classes, to improve overall QOL

This team is super cereal about raiding the hardest content, so applicants need to have a thick skin and be reliable about showing up to raids.

Red Team (Sunday, Monday, 10pm-1am EST) is looking for 1 skilled DPS or Healer for NiM Ops. This team will be exclusively running NiM content, so applicants should have a solid understanding of the mechanics involved in fights and be able to put up solid numbers while executing them. We'll take an excellent tank too, but we'd prefer not to break up the cohesion of our current tanking pair if it can be avoided. -Brown Mustard Team (Sunday, 5pm-730pm) is our new pubside 16-man team, and it's looking for 2 DPS. The intent of this team is to complete all the HM and NiM operations, so it is preferred applicants have some on-tier NiM experience, or be 8/10 on 3.0 HMs.
