I wasn't arguing your main point before; now that I've had a chance to get past Makeb, I am.

It could, of course, be that you're a totally elite professional world-quality gamer, & I'm a talentless clueless scrub. Or, it could also be that you're exaggerating badly to try & make rhetorical points. At this point, based on what I've seen past Makeb, I'm quite strongly inclined to the latter, & you know why? Because, I've seen your type in every MMO I've ever played for almost 18 years now, & so far, the vast majority have been talking out of their tailpipes.

So, ya, based on what I've seen, you're exaggerating.

Where I'm going is, please be upfront with what changes are happening and how they will be handled, things like specifics on how old content is changing and will level 60+ players bea able to access pre-KotFE planets.

Please don't wait until beta or too close to release to give this info, if you wait until then, if people hate it, it's too late to change anything.

This isn't a "DOOM" post, I'm hoping to prevent "DOOM" posts later.

Also, I know I won't get an @Bioware reply, but hopefully someone will read it and think about it.
Dude, it's already too late. Whatever they have planned is absolutely happening, whether we love it or hate it.

It's going to be absolutely amazing.
im guessing they come from the same place as people like you who think every new expansion/content this game puts out is going to be absolutely amazing then it ends up being lame and boring

this game will have to last over 10 years and i just dont really see that happening at all. so far SWG is still more popular than this game, cant speak for the successfulness because i haven't seen the numbers for either game, and im guessing you mean how much money the game has made/will make.

You can research the subscription drops on google if your interested
you need to do some research there bub.. the NGE was nothing like WoW at all!!! it wasn't like anything else in the MMO world, it was completely new and different. and now ESO is pretty much the NGE sept pretty!

And no, no need to point out I'm being subjective with me saying swtor is the better game and trying to start an argument that way. No duh sherlock. Of course I'm being subjective because I'm saying it.
where are these facts you are stating located?? also if you are going by the last 5 years of it being up then yea i would prolly agree with ya BUT im willing to bet that SWG made more money and had more subscribers in its first 3 years than this game has.

also SWG was a much better game than swtor... the only thing really swotor has over SWG is its graphics but that's like comparing Halo to the first Doom game

That's a whole other matter for another discussion. Are we going to have "testing" like we did for SoR - a limited closed test wherein nothing was actually resolved from the testing, or are we going to get an actual and proper testing vetting procedure that is open to the entire playerbase in order to uncover issues and offer opinions on the content and changed?

Well, as I have said before, knowing what is to come (in the form of gameplay changes) will allow me to plan my gameplay time in order to finish the things that are most important to me. I would like to at least finish every class story for the first time before any possible change that would affect my ability to do so the way they are set up now (XP gains notwithstanding). Just as an example, if they told us the changes today, and those changes would cause me to stop playing when they are implemented, then I would be able to adjust my playtime in order to play the class stories I want to see. For instance, even today, instead of spending a few hours in another game, I would be playing SWTOR. In the upcoming week, instead of playing through the Dragon Festival in Guild Wars, I would skip it this year in favor of trying to complete more of a class story on an alt. If the upcoming changes will not stop me from playing SWTOR, then I can continue to spread my time around all the games that I enjoy, instead of just focusing on SWTOR in the attempt to complete as many class stories as I can before the changes.

Then you haven't looked very hard. SWTOR, at its lowest point was still more profitable and popular than SWG at its peak. Christ, even some of the lead devs have said that the game as it launched was utter crap and disappointing to them in blogs and interviews. Get over it people.

the EMUS i know of are still broken..i.e. not really stable or complete, also they require the original disks.

i would love to play SWG again... either preCU or after, both were a lot of fun to play.

and YES those good ole SWG days really were good and fun!!! i had a blast running around in fort tusken with my guild getting crystals and Tusken armor... watching my friend who was a combat medic run in tossing poison everywhere then running out with 20 Tuskens chasing after him (reminded me of Han on the deathstar) i had fun looking up what planets had the best components that week and then going there to mine for them, i loved my master crafter and actually making things that were good and useable by many. i also loved jumping into my ship and going out into space and flying anywhere and sometimes running into trouble and having to dog fight with either an NPC or another player. SWG was the most fun i have ever had in a video game and it is sorely missed

is that the type of owning up to it that you wanted??
