It really wouldn't of hurt to update the crafting a little more as the game matured. Making every existing armour schem adaptable along with removing the level and class requirements, making the 4 base crystal colours yellow, blue, red, green 10/41, giving those 192 companion sets to crafters instead of rewards for a 30min weekly mission just to name a few.
You are missing my point. Not adding something isn't the same as subtracting something. I've said many times that I wished all the static stat stuff was made moddable, and that restrictions (armor type, class, etc.) were removed. But that was how the game was at launch, the limited usefulness of the classes that make static gear was always in the game, it had nothing to do with the CM, which is what the OP was saying.

Agreed.

It certainly wouldn't hurt BioWare to make schematics available (in exchange for Basic commendations) for all of the old armours / weapons we've lost over time.

It's something that could be very good for Synthweaving / Armourmech / Armstech.

Certainly we've gained dyes, new crystals (how many midlithe?!) and new implants etc. That's fine, but god forbid they give us more than that over time. Everytime BioWare introduce new armours and retire old ones, they could very easily add those armour schematics to a vendor to make the available.

Such a waste sometimes.

And the stupidest thing about them are BoP schematics... You get the schematic for Artifice on your toon that is doing Armormech, and you cannot send it to the one with Artifice.

Also, ten midlithe crystals necessary to craft the new color crystals for Artifice?

That was a nice FU as well.
Totally with you Darth_Wicked... was very pissed to see CM drive crafting out of the game. The 10 Midlithe for a crystal is just STUPID... the cost alone to get 10 is not worth the effort. It's like the MATS for the new speeders as well. They are not "Awesome", but for the number of mats required they are not worth it either.

Wish BW would get it's crap together for crafting in this game, but I don't see that happening since CM needs its money.

Yes, but they became even more obsolete with the introduction of the CM, with people able to get the look they are after from level 1.
Also, all the orange empty shells in 2.0 they introduced were level 54, and all the ones in 3.0 even though adaptive, have level 56 requirements, making their usefulness to the player market very limited.

This is what I was addressing in case you didn't realise. You don't have to physically take something away for it to have its usefulness taken.

I love crafting in SoR! I'm so happy they added a dye I really enjoy (black grey).
