This means you're effectively taking 1667 damage/sec. Or pretty much 1 person being on your nearly full-time.

Do you really think that the Sorc will outdamage the Sin while under this kind of pressure?
He won't have the chance to aoe anything. Sin Dots are stronger than Sorc ones.

Will the sorc be useful when casting storm at that point rather than using the burst he has to get someone low first?

That's what I'm getting at. In practise.. sin aoe pressure is far above and beyond that of a sorc.
Sorcs for sure have more potential, but you can't exploit that potential in team ranked arenas.
Nobody will allow you to.
Nobody will allow you to. More like nobody can let you and win. That's the point I was trying to make. Sorc aoe can force people to peel off of their target. Thereby keeping the target alive.

Do you really need advice or was that sarcasm? I didn't read all the posts. But yes you can kill sins through shroud easily with white damage especially if you focus it. When a sin pops shroud it is a good time to switch hard to them with white damage. I call for these switches alot. MOst sins are expecting to not take damage when they pop it. Often they don't look at their health during it. If you switch to them you can often kill them before they realize it and don't pop anything else to save themselves. At worst u make them pop all their dcds and come back to the fight a limp noodle

Since I've played both sorc and assassin in ranked, I have to agree with Evo. In fact, it is this very fact that made me start playing my assassin much more often in ranked. I still play my sorc as a regstar because its fun to force storm 4 bads who just stand there in it while I watch my screen tick 3k all over the place. But, in ranked, the major difference is that when you are trained on as an assassin, you can still pump out pressure due to very strong defensive CD's and the super easy dot spread and insta-6-7k AOE death fields that are not interruptable. A sorc only has the option of kiting and trying to get off average single-target burst. And, guess what, if they're trying to burst a sin, welcome to force shroud making you want to throw your computer out of the window.

This thread has gotten a bit off topic, but in my original/early posts I made this very point. On paper, force storm is ridiculously OP, but in practice what makes the assassin so strong in 4v4 is their ability to pump out immense DPS pressure WHILE UNDER PRESSURE THEMSELVES. You can shut down a PT with CC and heavy burst, or force a sorc to kite to the point of being useless, but you cannot do that to a good assassin. I actually get EXCITED when I am focused... when I heard those shoulder cannons going off on me, or the sorc lining up his thundering blast on me... force shroud pew pew, PT lines up more burst after I have made them enraged by blocking their initial burst with shroud, pew pew force cloak re-open with spike. So far they've done almost no damage to me, and I've already gotten 3 dots, a death-field, they're now stunned and about to get assassinated... all the while my team has taken very little pressure bc I've made the opposing PT/Sorc waste their initial burst/offensive cd's on me. It's just stupid how much power that is. I can't count how many games where I have 150k damage, and the next highest is 90-100k bc they went after me. If they don't go after me, I double their damage. Damned if you do, damned if you don't in terms of going after an assassin. So, what do you do? Just stack assassins on your team with a healer, gg.

No. A sorc is a good target choice even before the requirement to be shut down.
It currently adds to the choice but it would be hardly any different if sorcs did no damage at all.

Well since you got involved let me ask you the same question then. Can you please tell me what white damage is? And also as a sorc do you suggest then I should rebind and use my saber strikes?

Bioware is too understaffed or just plain incompetent to ever get pvp close to being right. It's not that hard, really. 90% of the class imbalance has to do with uneven survivability skills, especially when being focused by more than one attacker. It is pretty easy to make those uniform.
A jugg can press a button and get a full bar of health. (not to mention extra stuns, reflect, etc). A sin has health recovery, dmg reduction and can shroud.(and more). Is it hard to find classes that don't have comparable abilities? I am pretty sure the average 13 year old could in a matter of minutes.

A couple of attack skills need minor adjustments, not nerfs into oblivion like they did with OS and are now doing with shoulder cannon.

Is it any wonder they have tens of thousands trying this game out that end up leaving frustrated because of unsatisfactory game play.
