I like the game. I plan to be here for a while. It is a good launch and there is tons of potential with the solid base mechanics that they have began with.

-You cannot judge ANY game until about the third month. What we as players call the 'Third Month Blues'. It is ONLY at this point when we see the roll off and the casual numbers peel a bit and the community boils down into the ones who are sticking with it hook, line, and sinker.

To look at it any other way is going to leave you in the end with false results...

Im pretty sure subs six months down the line are going to depend heavily on if they are getting ready with new content. Truth be told, if a game doesnt plan for expansions then its going to die. Players need more content. That can be evidenced by looking at the history of successful mmo's and though I hate it..WoW is a perfect example.
UO, SWG, EQ 1 and 2, AC 1 and 2, Planetside, WoW, CoH/CoV, Horizons, Dark and Light, Shadowbane, EVE, DAoC, and Warhammer..yes, I have alot of free time.

Go nerdrage somewhere else.
you know it.. fanbois from other games, feeling the power of the force !!

I am sure there will be the 30 day exodus, as all mmo's have, but I am sure this game will be around for many years, it's not a fail unless they pull the plug, APB was a fail, the use of the word fail is so mis-used../shrug
Do not dwell in the past, do not not dream of the future, concentrate the mind on the present moment.

Expectations lead to suffering

No it hasn't. And launch doesn't mean anything really, it's staying power, which we have yet to see how it goes.

All I'll say is this-- if you're saying this game is doomed because of it's level of end-game content, when it's only been released for less than a week--you need to get over it. They don't NEED to have a ton of end-game content yet because people shouldn't BE at end-game less than a week after the game releases. It is not Bioware's fault that some folks simply do not have a life outside of their in-game avatar, I'm sorry. Considering they've already said they will be making MUCH more content and that they're not going to call it quits right after launch with something that cost them 80+ million to make, I'd say perhaps you should wait a few months before doom and gloom start to spread. Try being realistic.

Merry Christmas, everyone, and I hope to see a lot of your friends here in a few days or so after the holidays!

If you notice in the announcement, they say "over a million".

2 million, is more then one million.

You will also notice in the announcement, that they are still bringing in new players.

And on top of all that, it isn't xmas, yet.

The only way they could do that is if most of the content is practically done already. So assuming they actually do add in new content, then fine, all is good and well in the universe and everybody is happy. But the question comes in, what if they don't add in new content, or not enough content? Bioware isn't exactly a paragon of upholding what they say, for whatever reasons there may be. So it's not exaggerating to say that, without a load of new endgame content, many many many subs will be lost come the end of January.
You obviously haven't played that many MMO's. It's been a while since I started playing WoW in 2004, but I am pretty sure battlegrounds were not in at launch, and I am also pretty sure Molten Core wasn't in at launch or if it was, it wasn't itemized. By that standard, WoW certainly didn't "die" and SWTOR has significantly more end-game activities while they already have more on the way.

Mazes and Labyrinths??, this is the opposite http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LibXsQBzY_c. A narrow linear Themepark doesn't fit Star Wars or any mmo
