Hi All (hopefully Bioware)

The re-occurring events are a good thing but are they all coming back?

Mainly the Hutt Festival of Splendor & The Chevrin Conglomerate? They could be a yearly event?
I have tokens for both (like I'd imagine a lot of players do) and I don't want anything else from the vendor (and Chevrin vendor when it was available)
They could come back yearly with different items from the vendors or ran in conjunction as both are on Nar Shadda, next year we all could be playing Pazak (or however you spell it) at the casino.

I don't mention the Rhakgoul Plague as it has been eradicated, for now surely it will re-surface somewhere else.

Thoughts??

The Chevin Event was meant as a prelude of the sorts pertaining the return of the Gree, which tied into the events of Terror From Beyond. Unless they rearrange it significantly, it is unlikely that it may ever return.

The best they could do is to craft something that is reminiscent of it, similar to what they did with the Rakghoul Resurgence.

Not sure what else they can do.

Maybe the Chevin have uncovered information of an unheard of ancient rakata capital ship whilst trying to decipher a rakata coded holocron (or mindtrap shaped holocron) and require our help to locate it, sending us all over the universe to find clues. The mission could be to find a rakata cube on X amount of planets with seeker droid (bring another seeker storyline into game) which reveals a clue, hand in mission. Rewards are tokens use at the Chevin vendor & creds but you can only do 1 clue per day. Find X number of clues hand in to Chevin which leads you to the final destination, which could be a new flashpoint. Both the empire & republic want the ship for the unimaginable technology but the ship is booby trapped ( "ITS A TRAP!" ) and explodes at the end of the flashpoint with both sides gaining technology from it, but don't quite understand it yet (for upcoming content).

Anyways just thoughts and thinking like someone at Bioware reads all these.

I think this is right; we might get a Grand Acquisitions Race-inspired event, the same way the Rak'ghoul Resurgence Event was inspired by the Rak'ghoul Outbreak Event and shares some of the mechanics (passing on the plague, some of the rewards, etc.), but I doubt they'd just bring it back as it was. The Grand Acquisitions Race and Rak'ghoul Outbreak were definitely designed and intended as one-time events.

I suspect the Festival of Splendor, on the other hand, is very much meant to be an annual reoccurring event for summer, similar to Life Day at year's end. They haven't said anything officially to that effect, but since the lore is that Soovada is a regular "holiday" of sorts for the Hutts, I think having it reoccur is probably the game plan.

I hope subsequent iterations end up including more than just the slot machines, though.
Given the choice whether to rule a corrupt and failing empire or to challenge the fates for another throw, a better throw, against one's destiny, what was a king to do?
But does one ever truly have a choice? One can only match, move by move, the machinations of fate, and thus defy the tyrannous stars.

BHW is monthly.
Rakghoul is random
Gree is random

No they don't have a calendar. Heck they can't even update the event page on the website. When it comes to planning ahead they are clueless.

Honestly I wish they'd be a little more regular with the green and rakghoul events. the random nature of it makes it difficult for a number of reasons

An outbreak occurring at random intervals makes sense; Same with the Return of the Gree.

Even so, pertaining the latter, we already have a fairly good idea of when they return.

The Rakghoul Resurgence will most likely - IMHO(!) - return a full week before Strongholds hits, which is most likely around the time the PTS goes down.

That's what I'm expecting anyway.

They have BBA scheduled for that, and I think that they will not want to do two event simultaneously.
And they said that they plan to go through all the recurring events, so that means Rakghouls must start today...

I think it would be in their best interest to have as many people as possible checking the PTS, since Eric posted yesterday it is highly likely it will go Live today.

Starting the Rakghoul Event today would kinda negate that.
