It doesn't. What bothers me are the people who think this game>real life and who feel that they should be catered to non-stop because, by god, they pay their 15 bucks a month.

How much entertainment does 15 bucks get you outside of this game? A movie...so, 90 minutes there. Dinner at a chain restaurant...30-45 minutes. A quarter of a console game...so wait 3 more months and you can get the whole thing and play for 40 hours or so. A drive in the country with the top down...call it 4 hours depending on your gas mileage. A round of golf...not quite, but close enough...3 hours.

The point here is that you get the possibility of 700+ hours a month for 15 bucks. Now, most people have lives and can't spend every moment in this game and those people are happily playing content that is still relevant to them while the content devourers scream on the forums that content isn't coming fast enough...much like a glutton screaming for gravy at his favorite restaurant...

Really? So you consider payment as a valid avenue of gaining respect?
Sounds more like the type of response you'd get from an employer.
"I pay your salaries so you have to respect me" is something I'm sure plenty of employees have heard from crappy bosses over the years.

No, payment does not grant you respect. At least not enough respect for you to demand updates from them on a faster-than-weekly basis.
Their last update was last thursday. Their next update will be pretty much exactly a week after that.
Do you demand daily reports on the progress of development?
Is that what you pay them 15$ (and no, it's not 15€, it's less in €) for? Or do you pay them to be able to play the game without restrictions?
You know, like you do your cable company to use their service, or like you do your internet provider to be able to post on these forums. Do you require daily updates from them too?

Are you saying that those 15$ gives you free reign to act any way you want?

Naw, I'm just pointing and laughing. But carry on I'm sure all the unassailable logic and personal perspectives will get through to people and they'll modify their behavior and thought processes accordingly. As well they should, game forums are serious bidness.

They are serious business. You should take everything in life serious, even when dealing with strangers on the internet.

Respect is a two way street and it is not something given. It is earned and no paying $15.00 a month does not earn you respect. You are given access to the game and that is all that entitles you to.

If you want respect you will have to earn it and the best way to earn respect is to show respect.
