By "no one wanted" I mean when it was announced that they were working on a space expansion.

And next you will claim that no one wants housing either? Peopel always wanted a PVP space game, just because it is not how you would like it to be, doesnt mean that there are not people around who got exactly what tehy wanted (just like with housing now, some would have liked free placement, but others will be fine, no they will be happy with the hook system there!).

And next you'll throw out more hyperbolic nonsense.

Oh, wait, you already did!

GSF takes 0 actual flying skill. I mean, half the ships barely move! You cannot seriously tell me anyone wanted this garbage? If you do, then point me to a post where someone, ANYONE, wanted a tiny warzone in space with ships that have nothing to do with flying.

You won't find a single post like that, because they don't exist. And before you vomit more hyperbole, I've played it enough to have a fully upgraded Pike and it's boring as hell when you can take on 5 newbies and giggle. Against other upgraded ships it's mildly more fun, but not really when everyone uses kits designed to take on bad players. The last 20 matches I played with a fully upped Pike, I lost a total of 0 1 on 1 fights because barely anyone playing actually knows how to fly when they can't boost to the capital ship.

And that's what people do in GSF, fly away the moment someone shoots back.

You write such nonsense and then you accuse me of hypebole?

Oh how quaint, you pick out one thing that's subject to personal opinion and ignore everything else. Another moron to the ignore list. Bye.

No, I just picked the sentence which showed it best, but your whole thing is just personal opinion! I am fine with you putting me on a ignore list, you are obviously not willing to think, so of course you don't like your opinions to be challenged.

I agree that the disparity between new players and mastered ships is way too great but after having played over 1500 GSF games I doubt that half of them were walkovers. Too many games, sure, but not close to as many as you're seeming to indicate.

I didn't say anythng about matches. As I only pugged, there's only so much one pilot can do when you spend half the match chasing scouts to the capital ships.. I meant that with a mastered Pike, for example, you can take on 5 newbies at a time and laugh. The basic components are so utterly ***** that against, again for example, mastered directionals it's like throwing wet paper rolls.

You're the one who accused people of hyperbolic nonsense and then did it yourself.

I've pugged in 99% of my games and so I guess my vision is warped. When I'm up against premades (which is too often) the match gets interesting and I have to fly like a bat out of hell in order to compete. I guess that's from where I get my enjoyment.

However even a masochist like myself can see that stock parts suck (despite making it more challenging for me when I 'start' a new ship). I agree with you on the need to address the gear reliance.
