If you haven't noticed it, we announced that we are currently accepting sign-ups for our Game Testing program. If you haven't had a chance yet, please view our Game Tester Frequently Asked Questions.

We recognize and have heard from some of you that there are some difficulties in registering with us, and want you to know that we are working to provide you with ongoing solutions. We will be updating this post regularly with new information.
  • When I fill out the personal data, it sends me back to the Game Tester Terms & Conditions.
Please ensure that all information is filled out in your BASIC account info and that you have selected (radio button) "Yes, I would like to be considered for testing."
  • Problems getting out of System Scan.
This is a known issue with some browsers and configurations where the scan box is smaller than the information it holds. To get past this, once the scan returns your system information, you can use the Tab key to go to the bottom of the scan tool in order to exit properly.
  • The system scan isn't working properly.
Please make sure to have the most recent version of Java installed on your computer (you may have to restart your browser if you install or update Java). Also, ensure that you are accepting the ActiveX request at the top of the page.
  • I am getting stuck on accepting the Terms of Service.
Clean out your temporary internet files and cookies for swtor.com. To learn more about cookies, visit this website.
  • I am unable to get past the Account Information Page when signing up for Star Wars: The Old Republic Game Testing. It continues to loop.
There is currently a known issue where users may get stuck in a loop between accepting the Game Testing Terms & Conditions and the Account Information Page. We are currently working on a resolution to this issue. You may also wish to fill in the alternate phone number, listed as phone (other), as it has rectified this issue for some users.
  • I am receiving several emails when signing up for Star Wars: The Old Republic Game Testing that my account had been updated.
Users signing up to test the game will receive emails at each level of application. This is a known issue that we are working to resolve.
  • I am not able to submit my system scan information.
Please make sure you are using one of the following supported browsers: Microsoft Internet Explorer 7.0+ and Firefox 3.0+. We also recommend enabling JavaScript, ActiveX, and using the latest browser plug-ins for Adobe Flash Player.
  • I receive an error message stating that my Phone Number is too long.
You only need to enter your city code and the phone number. The formatting isn't important. If you've used the international country code (i.e. 0049 or +49 for Germany), it may be that the number is too long.
  • When I have to re-do the Contact Information after being sent back to the Terms & Conditions, the Country is always reset to the United States.
This is a known issue. Please make sure, that you're entering your respective country on every try (Germany, Swiss or Austria), to be selected for the according test phases!
  • Will signing up today increase my chances of being selected to test Star Wars: The Old Republic?
No, we will be selecting testers from the Star Wars: The Old Republic community based on various requirements such as systems specifications, age, and region. The order in which you sign up for testing has no bearing on the selection process.
  • I have not received my validation email yet when attempting to sign up.
The Old Republic community members using either Hotmail or Yahoo email providers may not be receiving transactional emails at this time. This includes validation and password recovery emails. We are looking into the situation and will update you when we can.

OMG OMG...

But seriously... The sign up doesn't recognize my city. I need help... Because everytime he says. (You must enter a city to proceed) I already send the support staff something about it...

I'm having a problem with the system scan.

First of all, I can't even do it on Safari and Internet Explorer won't even load the page...

On firefox the scan starts and says "scanning in progress" forever. It's been up for about 15 minutes now... I assume it won't take that long, anyone else having this problem?

Edit: I saw the post above and realized I am indeed running Windows 7 RC, build 7100.

Okay, I went through the registration process. I came to the system scan and clicked the scan button. Then, my system scan results came up on my screen. Now where do I go from here? I do not see a "Continue" button or anything of that sort. The results just sit on my screen and I can do nothing.

PLEASE HELP!!!

I actually had to "cut" my phone number (couldn't add the "+XXX" needed to make a call to my country) cause I was getting an error saying the number it's too long. Not a huge thing as I doubt Bioware will try to call me but still

Make sure to use "Compability Mode" in IE if you freeze after the scan.
