Bounty Contract Week not casual friendly?

I don't really have a lot of time to play these days, and I can't help but notice that the reputation gain is pretty low for an event that only runs for one week at a time, plus the fact that the henchmen are quite time consuming to deal with, and the bosses really need a group and I don't know anyone to ask, and you know what general can be like.

Am I missing something that I'm not getting a lot of rep, or can I safely file this event under 'Things I no longer have time for'?

With 7 or so alts, that are 15+, I was max faction to BBA after 2 events. It is time consuming yes, but that is the fastest way to go about it. This game seems to really want you to have alts. Seems to even reward you more, if you have a lot of them. Now I have 13 level 15+s, and the new casino event, that is 5 free tokens off the breadcrum quest on Fleet, for me to play with.

Seems like Republic have a lot more work involved with the BBA then the Empire side does. I can pick up the quest, to kill a hench in Kaas, use my priority transport, takes me right to the city, not to far from the quest guy, who is also pretty close to the shady character updates. After 4 of those, it is just a speeder travel away to the fight, QT back to Kaas, turn in, Fleet pass done.... Republic... I have yet to find one of the planets that move as fast as that one can, only really done the ones on Ord, and Corsucant though.
New to the game? (Get a free starter pack!!!) Just coming back to the game after 90+ days? (Get a 7 day subscription, a bundle pack and 1 character transfer!!!) Feel free to use me as a Referral! (CLICK HERE)

I think it might be better as 'Just do it casually once a day when it comes out, and don't worry about the rep.' Just do it a few times every time the event comes out and it will end up adding up eventually. Just think of it this way: It's far better than gree, which comes out only once or twice a year and you have to really sink time into a lot of alts in an attempt to get up your rep.

And it's good XP for the time spent, especially is you have a bonus XP running, It's good credits and you can improve your light-side / dark-side score.

The bounty contracts are selling for a tidy sum of money too, about 40K each IIRC. If there's nothing you want to buy with them, sell them. - And several of the kingpins are easily solo-d - the Ord Mantell one is especially easy with a tank/ heal combo.

If you really need the rep for some reason, you'll have to grind several missions per day on each character .... Otherwise just do them when you feel like it or can combine it with missions on that planet and the rep'll come eventually.

Keep asking nicely in general chat.... On fleet at peak times. - You could even offer a small reward if you have credits/ unbound gear /mats/ crafted gear to spare. I'm sure someone will help you for maybe 5-10K. If you sell the completed contract you're still in profit.

good luck

My advice is to create or use a few IMP toons and do the DK one on each every day. I takes no time at all, and the completed contracts are mailable, and the rep is legacy-wide.

It ads up faster than you'd think. with all my alts, I maxed out reputation with them months ago.
If they hadn't changed the rep vendor items to only sell for completed contracts, I'd have no more incentive to bother with the missions at all.

Yeah once i'd done a few I worked it out that I can max out my rep for the week by doing one a day plus another one/two boss contracts on an alt as and when required.

The other thing to bear in mind that no one's mentioned yet is stockpiling - once you've maxed your rep for the week (if the week's not over) keep doing the missions and just don't cash in the rep tokens. Use them the next the next non-BBA week as the rep allowance resets just like everything else on a Tuesday. S'how I maxed out KDY after 2 double xp weekends

Seconded. I max'ed out rep a long time ago (thanks to having a bajillion alts), but I still do the event every time it rolls around because, as someone else mentioned, it's a good source of XP.

Following the advice of a previous poster--taking advantage of the Priority Transport: Capital World Imperial side--it takes me about 15 minutes from quest pick-up to quest turn-in to do a Dromond Kass henchmen which nets a Green and Blue Rep token. Even Guild'less, that should be around 900 Rep a pop.

Takes me about 10-15 minutes to do one bounty on pretty much any level. I am not really sure what you mean here. Granted, with 1 char only, one does not get to legend too fast. Kinpin bounties I hear on every server I play in general chat on fleet. General chat is not everyone's thing for sure but, that bad on your server? Which server are you on? I might start a youngin there, if you have a low level who wants to team up
