since you cant craft anything above levels 53 in most cases unless you have the resources to reverse engineer items or are able to get schematics from the flashpoints, I cant see any point in crafting at all.nothing you make on the whole is any use to anyone as it is not high enuff.
why cant the items that were once only available from flashpoints once the game moves one why cant they be now available from the trainer? like the level 30-31ish enhancements, barrels, hilts etc

Crafting is here to get money, level alts, and get your chars 450 Biochem, so they would get reusable stims/adrenals/medpacs(It might be just me, but I can't stand non-reusable items. Wish there was a reusable major XP boost!)

This. You would probably be surprised how much demand there is for level 53 stuff and their profit margins

Armstech is arguably not one of the 'sexy' crafting skills, but I still make decent money making purple leveling Augs on my Armstech character. It's not a get quick rich scheme by any means, but I make a slow profit over time (which is currently funding my Casino playing ).

Augment kits, augment kits and more augment kits. Ok, you need a cybertech as well reing robot parts to feed you the components, but you can make enough money to feed anything else you feel like doing with your toons. As mentioned elsewhere it's not sexy, but it's fed me enough to buy top end hilts, barrels and relics for several 55s and have my armstech scoundrel wondering what to do with her 100 million credits - I have a feeling a nice house awaits her in August...

On the Harbinger, right now augment kits are a wash compared to just selling the components: 5000 per component or 51,000 per augment kit (remember kits require materials that are valued at more than 1000 credits total). The only benefit of the kits are possible crits, but I never take those into consideration.

this week on the red eclipse got a raising in those prices..from sub 60-55 to over 65k, plus the augments(28 purple) go from 70k to 90k and not below. blue 28 augments go from 11k to 20k ..and those are pretty cheap to craft..
The Red Eclipse
Republic: anstacav, giranda, hobogo, vitulal, wasiq, zadoro, onovidi
Empire: astutillo, comel'am, covamo, heksebo, qarrarr, dadietr

It's double XP week. More people play and buy => prices always go up. They'll be back to normal in two days or so.

So, a about what level augments are worth crafting (from 'normal' schematics, not something dropped by an Ops boss), both for marginal sales (I understand the low profit) and for the toons? Starting at about L40, i.e. augment 22 and 28?

So, you invest about 20 thou, and get back about 50 thou? Or is it less of a margin?
