If I respond, I care. If I don't respond, I've been "told off" and have no comeback. Since responses are pretty much just opinion tied to a catch 22, it is easier to respond, than to remain silent. Especially when so many, are bothered so much, by so little.

When I PvE (and believe you me, I do a lot of it) there is hardly EVER any concern that I will not succeed. Practically every single PvE encounter, if approached at or near your own level, is beatable on the first try. In fact, it is extremely rare that I ever die in PvE outside of operations.

That doesn't mean to say that it is always easy. There certainly is quite challenging PvE content in this game.

BUT, in a PvP encounter, success isn't a certainty. Instead of "enemy mobs" that are purposefully designed to be beatable, you instead have the randomity of other players that are often anything but. It can be a thrilling experience. It may not be your cup of tea, which is fine.

But it is possible for someone to enjoy PvP, and for them NOT to be mentally deranged.

So that takes care of the English half of that post.

Do you have any comments on the more substantive (and in my opinion more worthwhile) part -- the one relating to why some people PvP?
